So. This is a lot of TMI.
Western Region told me years ago I didn't have a case as they had never tried military orders as a reason to hardship, but they "would do everything in their power to get me to follow my military spouse". I should have demanded it to set precedence but I didn't want to get a name for myself. Well...
Long story short, NACTA region did not sell it as a hardship, I was able to ERR to a terrible facility (unbeknownst to me), technically downgrade a level (obviously I kept my higher pay but it still "looks" like a downgrade until you can explain why), get there and treated like crap by that facility and then my now ex cheated. So I was stuck at a terrible facility going through a terrible divorce because I moved cross country and gave up SAN DIEGO for a dude.
Seriously only go if you can upgrade your career AND are happy being there if your marriage doesn't work out. And if you're leaving SD, it better be something even more amazing, which is what??.....Nothing is better than SD.
All that to say: I doubt it will go through. It would be nice if it did though and there was a precedence set either yay or nay for military spouses. Like maybe yay but only 2 times total in your career.
Depends on who is in charge of the regions right now.
