It breaks my heart because it's where I want to go but I can't leave where I am for a couple years so...

Funny story, I quit the FAA and got hired again the same week. Efficiency :yay:. It was before the CPC reinstatement stuff came out. Still working that unfortunately.

So, you quit the FAA and your original facility....got picked up at N90 that week....applied to the prior-experience....and have TPA on your list?
I may be totally wrong....but how did you manage all that?

Applied while I was still in the FAA. Quit, started dod job and got selected on the bid. N90 is one of the options on the placement list. So is corpus!

For those waiting on lists, the terminal placement list was updated last night with a ton of "reserved for prior experience slots" with an 8/15 facility assignment date. I'd expect lists to be distributed shortly.
Do you know if it's possible to trade? I know someone that wants a facility on my list and I want a facility on hers.

Trade a facility from your preference list? Not even an actual assigned facility?
What's the difference in them saying yeah sure trade and then not give one to either.

It's tough to talk in absolutes with any HR function, but I have not seen it done. You have a few things working against you.
1) The lists you received are a 'ranking' list. Each facility on your list isn't being held exclusively for you. Many people received similar lists and don't receive their 1st or 2nd choice.
2) Lists were given out on Friday for a reason. The majority of candidates will have their list turned in when HR returns on Monday. HR will not hold placement of other candidates while you and the other person make your requests. The longer you wait, the likelihood of receiving your top choices goes down.
3) I don't know the nature of what you're requesting, but I will say facility level assignments are given for a reason. In my humble opinion, the likelihood of HR approving a request to go above any of the facility levels offered is in the neighborhood of 0%. If your intent is to go below any of the facility levels offered, although slim, I believe you'd have a better chance simply making the request without involving a second person. Your odds may go up if you're requesting a low level facility in a high cost of living area that are typically seen as hard to fill (California, NY, etc)
