My biggest gripe is if we can d side we should be able to Train. I’m already “exposed” to the whole crew in the area. So when the position doesn’t need to be split the regular r side could easily be the trainer. If it’s too busy and we are down a man or something then I could go back to the d side.

I agree with you for the most part. Personally, my one gripe with your plan is that if traffic is slow enough they don't need a D-side, you should be on break so as to keep away from other people—even if you're in the same building it's better to be farther apart from people. But maybe your supes are being assholes about too many people being on break so that isn't an option, or maybe training can be done more safely if your trainer can plug into a scope two down from where you are.

But to play devil's advocate, this will cause all sorts of complaining from trainees and trainers: complaints about the judgement call to split or not, or whether the weather was better for his rotation instead of my rotation, or whatever. So in order to avoid having to deal with that, NATCA (and/or the FAA) would rather implement a uniform policy across the NAS and point to that when people ask about using common sense and taking initiative.

There are several DoD facilities represented by NATCA as well. Are they training?
Prolly. The military certainly is.

Well their policy is horseshit lol. They are running a totally normal rotation. They aren’t like sending me to Siberia when it slows down.

Being as I’m such a great person and all, here’s a brand new, bullshit thread that has absolutely no purpose.

Therefore, it cannot actually be derailed. And as such, should be safe from being locked.

Have at it. Your welcome.

I’ve been off of work for five days and this place has been kinda quiet, where did all the hot takes go?

We all kinda got a time out, it was awkward for a while, the chat pop up got "fixed", people are whining at trainees for being rightfully pissed off, trainees are whining at people for being rightfully pissed off, PushingTin had a crisis and underwent metamorphosis and is a born again Christian, MJ deleted a bunch of stuff and reminded us of the rules, and everyone just kinda got dispersed like after a rager I guess...

I knew I should have wasted my days off in a different way

In other news Microsoft flight sim comes out tomorrow and looks sick as hell

I’ve never had interest in being a pilot but flight sim looks sweet. Need a beast of a computer to run it on full blast though.
