Local leadership isn't going to do anything without "guidance", regional leaderships has a rolodex of responses, leadership above that doesn't care.

I think they would take a hit, but the NBA is super popular worldwide. I think the league and owners pretty much have to support the players in whatever they do. I just don't get the correlation. The only remotely relevant purpose would be to cancel the season with the intent to politcally campaign. I think they over estimate their power. Wisconsin legislature for instance is controlled by Rs in both chambers.

Yeah that is true, they are in bed with China, that won't help ticket sales but they can such revenue from there, maybe start to play 20% of the games overseas.

And just like the NBA NATCA is super popular world wide. You ever see all those panels and international committees their leaders are on? Plus if you come here to DC you hear radio advertisements for NATCA on the sports talk radio station and I'm sure they have some billboards here as well as OKC.
