Along these same lines, why the hell don’t we automatically qualify to use the TSA pre-check lane?

It was actually going to happen this past spring and was negotiated between the FAA and DHS... unfortunately COVID hit and the aforementioned speed bump has affected everything.Along these same lines, why the hell don’t we automatically qualify to use the TSA pre-check lane?
Let me guess the tsa is going to have to do their background check and not just accept our security clearanceIt was actually going to happen this past spring and was negotiated between the FAA and DHS... unfortunately COVID hit and the aforementioned speed bump has affected everything.
Having worked for DHS (presuming nothing has changed) it is usually a simple matter of creating a database with ID #'s for all employees to be issued or using our existing DOT CAC card numbers similar to how DOD uses DOD ID #'s. I say usually because we all know nothing goes according to plan, however I have and use Global Entry/Pre-Check religiously for years so it will be nice to get something for free.Let me guess the tsa is going to have to do their background check and not just accept our security clearance
It’s 99 dollars and I refuse to give the tsa money on principalIt is like $60 to do a TSA pre check interview and lasts I think 5 years.
I can accept that. ✊?It’s 99 dollars and I refuse to give the tsa money on principal
I think you’re thinking of Global Entry. Pretty sure PreCheck is $60It’s 99 dollars and I refuse to give the tsa money on principal
Yeah. I have precheck and my wife has global entry. Hers was 100.I think you’re thinking of Global Entry. Pretty sure PreCheck is $60

Yah I’ll give money to customs ?. I just don’t travel internationally very oftenGE is worth the money. Well worth it. Especially when I got it before the major airports had kiosks for “normal” people
I don't think it should be considered "scamming" I guess. Any interaction we have with pilots is better than none for educational purposes. Even understanding their schedules and how tired they might be, etc can help us serve them better and anticipate things even

Or did you just fail yourself.....I would never give CPB money out of principal. They fucked me on their polygraph.
He sounds like a good dude.Well, the CPB dude said I literally failed every single question, so either I’m a serial killer terrorist drug lord who still somehow managed to get a security clearance, or their test is bogus.
Well if you're not on the FBI radar yet you can still get a clearance...Well, the CPB dude said I literally failed every single question, so either I’m a serial killer terrorist drug lord who still somehow managed to get a security clearance, or their test is bogus.
As long as you can fill out the a paperwork and prove it I don’t see why notCOS Question?
Has anyone requested (and got approved) for COS months prior to their leave date? I know people use COS usually to leave early or start a week later, but due to other reasons we would actually be moving into a place a few months prior to my start date at my facility and could use the time for the actual move.
In Article 29 it states up to 2 years from the effective date of change of post. Given that many people use it on the front end of them leaving the actual transfer date couldn’t be the set start timeframe right?i just want to get my shit straight before I ask for it..
