That’s too much effort for me but certainly doable. Depending on location a vegetable garden is also very doable as well.

We have some raised garden beds that are literally off the ground, made them for 20 bucks a pop. Everything from tomatoes to jalapeños and dill. Most our spices are grown inside though on window sills.

Question: do majority of older controllers that are high up on seniority take weekends off? I know each person is different but is there even a trend of taking the weekends off?

Out of the 4 facilities I’ve been to, sat/sun and sun/mon fell to lowest seniority people at only one of them. The rest it was the usual order. Fri/Sat, Sat/Sun, Sun/Mon.

Using mass shootings as a reason for an assault weapons ban is asinine. Yes, they are awful and I wish they didn't happen, but it's not the guns, it's the people behind the gun. More people die every year in drunk driving accidents (by a lot) due to irresponsible and bad decisions by a minority every year I don't see any mainstream pushes to reinstate prohibition.

I'm all for fixing problems, but lets actually address the real problem, and not use it as an excuse to do something else.

I had Saturday’s off for one trimester last year and hated it. Weekends off on LI suck. 50 million other people within 100 miles are also off. Weekend traffic is all day rush hour and everything is jam packed. But most of the older seniority people bid it cause kids/spouses are off.

Background checks are thorough, since 1998 over 800,000 people with felonies with sentences over 1 year and misdemeanors with sentences over 2 years have failed to purchase due to the background checks.

But they're felons, they don't abide by the law hence why over 60% of guns used in crimes are procured illegally leaving only 10% purchased legally and .8% being purchased from gun shows (the rest being private transfers, which could have oversight). Of course passing more laws will stop the law breakers from breaking more laws.

Or perhaps it targets the wrong populace and reduces the normal everyday person's ability to protect home and household.

When the types of guns covered under his plans contribute virtually a fraction of a percent to the gun death total every year, even with “mass shootings” included, it doesn’t seem reasonable at all.
