Don’t you need to give 30 degree turn ons to final to avoid belly up situations?
Wait sorry, I was thinking parallel runway ops. Never mind
Only if you're clearing an aircraft off the intercept heading. You can legally give a 60 degree heading and say intercept the localizer and be fine. Then when they're inbound, say cleared approach.Turns not to exceed 30 degree to intercept any final approach course when being vectored to intercept.
It’s only sloppy if you don’t set them up for success. And No wonder you think it’s sloppy, you are giving 60 degree intercepts.
