Everyone loves to say what we make after all our OT and differentials. Even NATCA does it.Average CPC makes 160…. HA yea right. Average center CPC maybe.
NEB means Nick these days. He’s operating alone.“Wait you CPCs actually thought we cared about you? We hear you brother! We have leverage and collaboration! Also, go fuck yourselves you’re paid more than enough” - NEB
Isn’t that what everyone said about Santa? The NEB isn’t getting a pass this time around.NEB means Nick these days. He’s operating alone.
If you're at academy and paying rent to a place you don't even know if you're going back to, then that's on you. You apply knowing you could be sent anywhere especially if you score low enough where you're limited on picking wherePeople still have to pay for their houses back home
None of them should get a pass. They have a responsibility to the membership so whatever strange dynamic is going on they need to figure it outIsn’t that what everyone said about Santa? The NEB isn’t getting a pass this time around.
Some people have families that don’t follow them to OKC and still need a place to live. Or with an academy with such a high attrition rate aren’t willing to give up their housing in the event that they don’t make it and would like to have somewhere to go back to if that happensIf you're at academy and paying rent to a place you don't even know if you're going back to, then that's on you. People have families. Or don’t want to sell their house if they don’t know if they will pass. And some people do get to go home after passing. I think it’s fair to include locality just not any premiums. Is there a way to actually figure out what the median salary is not including OT? It can't be 160k. Base not including locality.
I somewhat agree, but locality varies depending on location and it's cost of living and is skewed in my opinion. Either way would be fine, I was just thinking a baseline idea without other noise.I think it’s fair to include locality just not any premiums.
Well that’s why it would be a medianI somewhat agree, but locality varies depending on location and it's cost of living and is skewed in my opinion. Either way would be fine, I was just thinking a baseline idea without other noise.

My point exactly, actually. It shouldn't matter when posting the median pay of ATC.Locality is not based on cost of living
Exactly this. They basically just increased the "sign on bonus".Good for the trainees… but isn’t there 40-50k applicants every bid? OKC pay could be zero and I don’t think that would affect our recruitment. Also, if I’m considering a career in ATC, a deciding factor isn’t how much I’ll be paid in the first three months of my career. The main deciding factor is the average salary of someone in that field..
Never heard of lease termination fee? I had to pay $8k to terminate a lease early. That's more than the gross wages of an academy student. If you're at academy and paying rent to a place you don't even know if you're going back to, then that's on you.
