Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-16-ALLSRCE-49075 Bid

Yes, only 7 and below are offered to academy grads. Very rarely you'll see an 8, most frequently seems to be OKC.

I have no idea what is within four hours of DC but like you said, you have a LONG time and many obstacles before you need to worry about a facility.

That's strange..I can't remember where I read it but I seen academy grads are always sent to facilities 9- 12

An old "ADHD" diagnosis is gumming up my medical... FAA only gave me 30 days total to find a doc (they didn't even point me in the right direction), and have a barrage of tests performed. (Not sure how that makes sense, sense they initially said 6 months to complete all clearances.) The neuro-psychologist I found said that 30 days start to finish isn't even enough time to accomplish this. I requested an extension from my medical POC, now we wait....

Geez how old was the diagnosis?

How soon after your physical exam did you find out you were cleared... and did you make contact or did they call you
I had my physical done on 3/23. I called my medical POC on 3/31 and she confirmed I was cleared on my MMPI and medical. She also advised that my paperwork was signed off (by the flight surgeon I guess) on 3/29 and I think that's also when she sent the packet to ACD. So it took about a day or two for HR to process the paperwork before calling me.

Hang in there!

TOL received 2/14
Paperwork submitted 2/16
Finally received a confirmation email sating everything was received on 3/30
That's what I call progress.

It took me a week and a day to clear medical. I don't have any notable medical issues though.

What is misleading about that?

From how it was explained to me, and this could be wrong...d1 d2 d3 up to CPC are steps in training. I was told on here that a new academy terminal grads do not go to towers higher than a 7. That leaves only CCF and everything else in N/A. I understand it's just a pay scale but if there is an NA on a level 6 tower how can someone be placed there. According to the terminal placement list I was seeing academy grads getting level 5 and 6. I hope that makes sense. Like I said it could have been explained to me incorrectly.

That's the (old) pay scale. It has nothing to do with placement.

MJ I believe you posted the terminal placement list
