Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-16-ALLSRCE-49075 Bid

One of my friends received TOL in February like some of you did. He was on the Patriots email. How long do they expect to finish sending out the CILs?

There are a lot of people who received TOLs in February still waiting, myself included. When people have got in touch with HR, the common theme has been "A few weeks to a few months still". Seems like they are getting to the 2/24 patriots crowd now though, so hopefully soon.

Just remember 3,000+ people got TOL's, the academy can only handle ~150 per month. They will be sending CIL's out for well over a year.

Not exactly true. A good portion of the people hired were prior experience and won't be going to the academy or are already at their facilities. I've seen people with TOL dates before and after mine with CILs already, so I'm holding hope it will be closer to weeks that months at this point.

The 3000 TOLs he's referring to are from the OTS bid

Like StevenB said, just over 3,000 TOLs from the OTS bid. Any current FAA controller has access to this info.

Interesting. Thanks for the update. I'm waiting for my FOL (I was prior exp bid) and he's kind of sour he hasn't started yet. Trying to keep his spirits up... Long process for sure.

POOL 2 OTS- from NYC Metro area
3/1 TOL
4/3 CIL
5/2 told security cleared
5/19 told medical, drug, & MMPI cleared

My Medical POC said she sent my HR rep all clear same day and to just monitor my email for a FOL/class date over the next coming week or so... *refreshes inbox* :yay:

Is the cogscreen something that's done for all medical?..or certain situations...this is something I haven't read about before...I just received my medical email to set it up today...and wouldn't ya know everyone's already out of the office..

I am currently waiting for OPM to finish the security investigation, and once that is done, if approved, I should be expecting an FOL for ATC. However, I really don't like where I am currently at and had applied to ATSS as a backup plan. I have gotten an FOL for ATSS and continued with that process. I don't start until the end of next month, but was wondering if that could affect anything the ATC application.

Nope.

Cogscreen isn't done for everyone. But I had to take one for my bullshit VA rating. Just a heads up, it ended up costing me 3 grand for a clean bill of health from the doc. Best of luck.
