Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-16-ALLSRCE-49075 Bid

I did not have a sit down with an investigator. My record is squeaky clean though. Seen a few people say they have met with investigators and go over every line in their SF-86 together.
Interesting.. I did, and everyone I know did as well.. with an investigator going over every line of the SF-86.

I didn't have to talk to anyone. I had a very easy experience with the CIL, had just under 5 weeks from CIL to FOL. But also a squeaky clean background and medical history. So never had to talk to an investigator out anything like that.

Don't believe they do that anymore unless something in your background is flagged.

well i'm sure they are going to want to see proof of my adoption, proof of my foreign wife actually being my wife, ask about a few financial things from a few years ago (solved), and a job that I was fired from for attendance (because they denied me time off for my wedding and charged me double attendance points for not showing up to a shift that I was denied time off for). I'm fairly certain I can expect a security interview. It's been 3 1/2 weeks now since I turned in the papers, still waiting.

Just did my security interview last week, I submitted all of my security back in June (2+ months), but I've heard of others that didn't get one until the Academy, one was actually after he got to his facility. So from what I've read it's whenever they can catch up with you as long as your initial background check passes the conditional clearance (waiver).

wow...alright thanks for that. Also, how long did it take for them to let you know about passing your medical and MMPI and drug? Who sends that information?

I'll let you know, 6 weeks since physical/drug test & 11 weeks since MMPI and no word. Can't get my medical POC to respond.

I took my MMPI like 3 days after I got my CIL so the Medical POC already had the results when she called me to set up my medical appointment. She also called to tell me that I passed and was sending my stuff to HR, which seems like isn't usually the case.

Capt. Obvious has it though, no news is typically good news.

My medical POC finally responded to me via email today.. I'm somewhere on a desk waiting to be checked off by the flight surgeon.. Hopefully this cheers up some of my fellow brothers and sisters in the WP region.

Keep hope alive!

Hello! I'm new to the site. Anyone still around from the August 2016 bid?

My original CIL was sent out on September, 2017 but unfortunately it was sent to the wrong e-mail address. Found out about two months later when they were about to terminate me from the process. Fun times. A big thank you to my Security POC who contacted me via phone at the last minute!

According to my HR POC we're just waiting on my medical clearance and then I'm good to go. However, I just received a call today to set up a security interview. Both HR and my Security POC said my conditional security had cleared so I'm not sure where I sit now :(

I'm from 8/2016 as well and there are still some of us left. I think you should be fine honestly unless you have something to hide i was personally held up due to multiple citizenship and then having to redo my drug test.

Thanks for the reply. That makes me feel better. It's just after all this time, thinking that I'm finally in the home stretch, then having this interview added on... ugh.

CIL 8/2017 here. Just got a class date last week for 3/28. That’s frustrating about the security interview. Hopefully it goes smoothly for you!
