Yes. You will be waiting a while and You can negotiate your start date in any case.Do you think it's smart for me to start taking next term class, I have already completed everything and in contact with medical rep
I agree with MJ. I know a person who is graduating in May and had an offered start date in april....He gave them his situation with school and they moved it to may even though they need to fill in these April classes....I on the other hand said F it ill take whatever you have and now I am scrambling to get my wive moved closer to her work while we prepare for my drive to OKC in the same week. I am not complaining though. It was my decision and my wife supports it. I too am still taking classes but I am only taking online classes and will end the second week I am at OKC. Then I will resume classes after OKC.Do you think it's smart for me to start taking next term class, I have already completed everything and in contact with medical rep
Me, and two other CTI non-vets that applied from my workplace have yet to get any response from anybody at the FAA, not even a confirmation email.Have you gotten your CIL yet?
Just heard back from HR after nearly a month since submission, and 3 follow up emails (with no reply). Had to resubmit everything to an actual HR rep instead of the Patriots email. No news is definitely not good news, so if you haven't heard anything I would start making phone calls. I'm back to square one waiting for a CIL, but I at least know they have my documents.
Affirm. Got it on 3/6. MMPI taken on 3/9 and found out yesterday I received my conditonal security clearance from the SF86 I submitted on the same day I got my CIL. I Am taking my medical exam and drug test on 3/23 then I will be done with everything.... and back to the waiting game to see if I'm fully cleared on my tests. However. I am fully ready to go to OKC haha!Have you gotten your CIL yet?

did they tell you this or did you reach out to your security POC?
Your HR can update you on your security status if you haven't heard anything from the security personnel. Do you think it will be a problem to request a different AME , The one they gave me the info for is almost 2 hrs away and has horrible reviews on Google saying that they don't follow up and they don't answer the phones ?there are so many in my surrounding area I'm even on at aviation post and we have an AME here!
Have you contacted your HR POC? If so how long after you started the CIL process?Your HR can update you on your security status if you haven't heard anything from the security personnel. I hope that I can switch it to someone here my husbands an air traffic controller and gets his done here on post as well as the pilots and all other aviation personnel but hey we'll see (Fort Rucker AL)I reached out to my security POC (who is very helpful and quick to reply) and she let me know that I was approved for a conditional clearance (the full clearance takes months to complete).
I would try calling the phone number of the people that contacted you to do your medical "interview". I asked if I could have my AME do my medical since I have used him before to get my medical for flying and it was approved. From what I understand however, not all AME's are qualified to do ATC exams so even though there might be a plethora of examiners around your area, they might not be able to do your exam.
