Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-17-ALLSRCE-53474

CHRIST. I've commuted maybe 20 miles altogether TOPS to get all my CIL requirements done. I was even able to do my fingerprints at the FAA building with my actual security POC.

I wish I could have gotten a tour of ZSE when I was there; the lady issuing the MMPI didn't seem interested making small talk, much less showing me around. Framed picture of Donald Trump in the lobby tho. That's always weird.

Well he is the head of the government which you are applying to work for, so......

Can confirm, Cowboys is a good time. Friday nights are when they have bull riding. It’s PACKED for that. Big dance floor for two stepping and dancing. Pretty unique bar that’s for sure.

I've toured ZDC, PCT, and IAD I couldn't be more ready to bleed BBQ, square up with F5's, and study my hairy ass off.

Well hopefully you'll hear from HR soon with a CD and an FOL. As long as your MMPI is good and your EODS was filled out right, I can't see how you won't be heading to OKC ASAP. Gosh I love acronyms :) Be sure to try the "Oklahoma Prime Rib," a big tube of bologna smoked or barbecued and sliced, then glazed over with some BBQ sauce.

The guy that interviewed me said he'd expect it'll get to them around 2 weeks which is next Wednesday, so gunna email then asking to see if there are any updates. I believe everything else is good to go.

Just finished online part of security. going to do fingerprints tomorrow at the facility. Medical in two weeks, I just might actually finish this!!!

At the end of the sf86, did you guys sign the medical waiver? I answered no to Q21 so I skipped it. Hope that doesnt slow me down for some reason

Well this really threw me for a loop when I’m reading the email from my MMPI contact. Read through the dates and times avail and then I see “Keep in mind that we are in the eastern time zone. I don’t know why they are sending you to my location”.

You can imagine the puzzled look on my face when she says about the Eastern time zone. So I hurry up and scroll down. SBN! Hahaha 105 miles each way. I’m in the heart of Chicago so with all the FAA facilities near me that was very... urm unexpected.

So, answer me this? How many of you can say you had to travel to another time zone to take your MMPI?! Boom.

You can take your MMPI at aurora. I would try to switch.

I just emailed that address asking about my results to my MMPI and I got this in response

“There is another level of evaluation that is required to be completed for the Medical Clearance determination that is still pending, and you will be contacted when it is complete.”

Any idea what they are talking about?
I got this email today as well after inquiring on the status of MMPI.... I know doesn't look good, really hope this is not automatically mean tier 2. I called and left voice mail with the aerospace med folks, hoping for some clarification. Anyone have any insight on this?

Not sure if you’ve read my other post, but this past Sunday I was officially notified that I required a tier 2 evaluation. Really bummed me out because I’m chomping at the bit to get to Oklahoma....

Yes, I saw that...

I'm really sorry man. Might be heading down that road myself here pretty shortly.

I know I'm preaching to the choir, many of us have similar stories, but this is my 4th time applying and first TOL/CIL. I feel like I have been waiting forever for this and I'm just kind of done waiting.... I have lost out on two major opportunities at my current job over this, because managers at work think as soon as they promote me I am just going to leave for the FAA. ( Disclaimer: My mistake getting excited and telling everyone about my TOL)

Anyway, I'm not sure how much more I can invest in this thing or put my life on hold.

It’s really easy to get discouraged, especially after making it this far. I’m just trying to keep my head held high and hope the process moves fast like the rest of this bid has.

From everything I’ve read on here and the other site, I think I’m the first one to be notified of tier 2 for this bid so hopefully I have that working in my favor as well. Not looking forward to explaining to everyone why I’m being delayed for 6 months to a year..

I hope your situation comes out better than mine is playing out. Good luck to you man
