None.I don't like that Trump keeps bringing this up while I go through the hiring process. Should there be any cause for concern?
Trump budget continues to support air-traffic control privatization
None.
That's what I like to hear. Since I'm new to this I didnt realize this was something that has been on and off proposed for years. Seems like Trump is pushing harder for it (along with privatizing NASA...) then others had. The article makes it sound like the union is for it but every controller I've ever asked is strongly against.

Nur810 is dead on. IF it happened, you're looking at a ~4-5 year transition period. NATCA wrote the verbiage in the bill that has been proposed in the past. You'll be well into the agency and your pension (FERS), 401K (TSP), and health benefits would all be grandfathered in.Whatever happens would take years to implement. Just look at how slow the hiring process is. Imagine taking the entire agency and moving it private.
Finally got my email from medical tonight.. will fill out the interview form tomorrow and schedule my appointment...

So I took my drug test yesterday and it just popped into my head I took otc vicks nyquil (pills not liquid so no alcohol or codeine, acetaminophen yes) the night before to help me fall asleep cause of cold/allergies. Can I get a false positive did I screw myself over or am I worrying over nothing?
They only care about the illegal stuff. So no, you didn’t screw yourself. Now if you took cocaine to get yourself to sleep you’d have a problem on your hands.
You'll be an interesting case study. For reference, you cannot work air traffic for 60+ hours after taking Nyquil. The FAA does a poor job notifying new air traffic controllers of which OTC medications they can and cannot take. As someone in the employment pipeline, you certainly aren't bound by the same rules and regulations as us just yet. If it comes back with a false positive, you'd simply provide them the reason for the false positive and reschedule the drug test.So I took my drug test yesterday and it just popped into my head I took otc vicks nyquil (pills not liquid so no alcohol or codeine, acetaminophen yes) the night before to help me fall asleep cause of cold/allergies. MMPI Done.
e-QIP Done.
Medical scheduled.
So close to waiting some more!
Do they send you more instructions on how to schedule the drug test after the medical?
