Having a car in OKC makes sense, but the shuttle is actually a get-out-of-jail-free card. If there’s a huge accident or train crossing or something else and you’re a few minutes late to class, as long as you’re on the shuttle, you’re in the clear. But if you’re in your personal vehicle, even if you walk into class at the exact same time as the shuttle people, you can be fired. It’s a huge risk to drive yourself to work every day for almost zero benefit.
So what I'm getting out of this is take the shuttle to class every day but have your car for the weekend and time after work, so you don't feel locked down.
