Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

I've heard Isola Bella accepts pets with a fee, as well as Anatole. Not sure what info you are looking for as far as military spouses, but the FAA will not take that into consideration when you pick facilities.
Not looking for consideration. Just wanting to see who's in a similar situation. Thanks a lot. I think I will be going for IB

Does anyone know what opportunities exist for ATC retirees after age 56 in the US? I know NAVCANADA hires contractors, but is there contract work in the US? What's the pay like?

My wife and I are both AGR for the Washington ANG so I’m in your boat too. Gonna be fun figuring out how we’re gonna pull it off once I go. We have 2 kids too.

I just got out but my husband is staying in and just started flight school. Can't imagine doing it with kids. That's a whole different ball game haha we are just taking it one step at a time and know we will be seperated for a while.

Just a heads up for those still working on their SF86 - don't be dumb like me and only check one credit report.

On the financial portion, I only checked my Equifax credit report, but the investigators found two old debts in collection that I was unaware of on my TransUnion report. Now I have 10 days to make them go away and to explain why I'm dumb. It's only a couple hundred bucks, and hopefully they understand that it was a mistake, but I just wanted to warn everyone else to double check all your reports.

So were they concerned that you had debt, or that you didn't disclose it?

Both. They sent me a Letter of Inquiry explaining. At the start of the letter it listed two sections of concerns, the first being all of the items on my credit report (not just the omitted ones), and the second is 'conduct', which includes not listing all the debts, and a disciplinary action I had at a job in '15.

I have to write back with 4 pieces of information - 1, the circumstances behind each item on my credit report and what I plan to do about them, 2, documents and proof supporting the first section, 3, explanations of why the items were omitted, and 4, the reason for my disciplinary action.

This was within the past couple weeks that you received the LOI through the mail? Kind of interesting, I was just reached out by my security POC via email about something that he had found which I just sent some screenshots.

Just got done with my MMPI-2 and was able to take a little tour of DFW TRACON. So awesome!! The administrator said that any new hire candidate should be able to call a tower near them to request a tour and hang out for a bit. Very very cool experience

Just asked for an update from my medical POC, and they advised me that they're still waiting on my military records from Quantico....damn it Marines hurry up!

What did they ask you for specifically if you don’t mind? Can dm me if you’d rather. I was emailed by someone from the aerospace medicine division last week asking for my full VA records to include a pharmacy report.
Edit: I just called my AME to ask about me needing to go back to their office since I was not asked to do a diabetes pee test while there, but they told me I was fine without. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see what the big dawgs in the aerospace med div say.

Week 2 of finalizing my CIL. And nothing from no one. All I know if that my current employer did receive a letter. Other then that, NOTHING.

The LOI was emailed to me. Same thing though, they want explanations and screenshots emailed back.

Same, was done with everything on the 1st and haven’t heard anything since. I did contact my POC last week though and she said all they’re waiting for is my MMPI results??

I'm surprised with the MMPI being the thing holding people up. It's all done on a computer so you would think it would just say whether you passed or failed right away.

My medical POC asked me to send her my VA and prescription reports. I just went to myhealth.va.gov and downloaded it from there and sent it to her. Then she sent a separate email asking me to fill out a SF180 form and send to Quantico (USMC Records) so that they can forward my paperwork to them.

Just got off the phone with KH. They approved my request for a delay of start so now I have a May 17th En route class date. She said that she will be sending my FOL once OPM updates the pay scale rates. Apparently they got a raise. :)
Lucky bastard
