Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

I have my medical scheduled for next month. I've had a hard time finding a direct answer. Does anybody know the chances of getting a medical clearance for being treated for chronic migraines over 8 years ago? I was treated from 14 years old to 17 years old and I no longer get migraines. Sorry if there is a better forum for this.

Stoked for all of you who have a class date!!
I have my medical on Monday and was seen by a doctor for migraines at age 7. According to my medical history they only lasted about 6 months and I haven't had any since then (I don't even really remember them I was so young). I have, and I would suggest you do the same, gotten a copy of all of my medical records relating to migraines in the past. I also have a copy of a doctor visit I had two years ago where my physician basically stated that I do not experience migraines any more or take medication for them. I'm going to bring these to my medical on Monday so that they have them from the get go and it doesn't cause extra waiting time when they inevitably ask for them.

I

I did a substance consumption narrative statement for underage drinking but you're dumb for putting anything about smoking marijuana on your sf86 anyway unless you were charged with something or something that can link you to it. My buddy got denied his medical for putting he tried marijuana once in the last two years.
I was young and dumb at the the time I did it. Can they expect all controllers to be saints their whole life?

I took the honest route and didn’t want to hide anything on the sf 86. Just looking for guidance here on writing the report - thanks for your input.

It’s ok, I told them I injected the marijuanas once on my birthday 3 years ago, If that’s what disqualifies me, then it is what it is.

they want to hear that. long time ago, one time thing, haven't done it again. something to that effect.

Im looking for comfort here. My POC TH is MIA im in limbo and its making me anxious. No response to email or calls, does anyone have a contact that I can ask for any type of update?

TH was mine, she was awesome but will not return your emails. Your best bet is to call her or call the general number and ask if she’s in. Good luck!

At this stage, it seems relatively safe to assume no news is good news. If you were tier 2’d or had something come up on the background check, they would probably tell you as soon as they knew. When did you submit everything?

Just call the main Aviation Careers number and someone should be able to give you an update. That happened to me, where my first POC left the job and I hadn’t heard anything until I called.

Not true in my case, I had to reach out to my Security POC to realize a LOI was needed.

2/20 MMPI2
2/23 Medical
2/26 Drug test
2/27 Release E-qip
That’s very close to my timeline. Last update I got yesterday was they were just waiting on the FS to clear my medical. That seems to be the holdup for a lot of people. Try emailing your medical POC and see if you get a response

When did you release your Equip and when did you follow up?
02/27 Released Equip

I called my Security POC on Wednesday. She told me a LOI was needed. I completed my LOI on Thursday. I just received an email stating that Aviation Careers has cleared my security.

Edit: I asked for clarification because it seemed too good to be true. She stated I was clear through security which will initiate the background investigation.
