Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

I did the one from jobtestprep, it was about $80 I believe. People will say "wow you overspent" but here I am with a TOL, so it's hard to hate on it. It really did prepare me for the test.
Yeah I bought that one too. I think it helped for sure, I guess I’ll never really know since it was my first time taking it and also got a TOL

I feel like prepping isn't very necessary, but making sure you are keeping your mind sharp and just eating/sleeping well before it. I briefly read about what's on the test and that's about it, feel like I bombed the reading/writing part of it which has never been my strong suit but all the first half with the math and radar game I aced and that was enough to get me an offer letter. Quick reaction times is just about enough to get you through it.

I believe it's what got me in, had I not prepared at all, there was no way I would have scored as well as I did. Even if it helped a tiny bit, it definitely helped me.

MJ I brought the jobtestprep, it wasn't really useful other than for the personality test prep that they offered which isn't really necessarily to prepare for the exam. After I took the exam, I contacted them for a refund and surprisingly they processed it for me.

Please review; Yelp gives it 1.5/5 stars.

Well I've moved in and the room came as advertised. Very nice kitchen area with all the important appliances. They provided more than enough silverware, plates, and pots/pans so unless you're looking into becoming a revered French chef if the FAA doesn't work out it should suit you just fine. Good furniture in the living area, bedroom has a small walk in closet. Washer/dryer. WiFi works. They also provided bathroom towels, a vacuum, and a mop. Went and got groceries at the Walmart which took two minutes to get to. I went through A&T Corporate Housing.

I did get a small scare when I went in and said I was there to move in. The girl didn't seem like they had me on file (I'm not sure) but she asked to see my email from A&T and when I showed it to her she said "okay" and went and got my key and that was that.

Let us know if the bed is comfortable.

Do you get a queen/King? Serious question as I plan to fly the wife and toddler in on some weekends.

Tomorrow is your first day of class?

How long does it take to hear back from your medical POC after reaching out? I sent a message to the generic email address a week ago and followed up a few days after with a voicemail, but haven’t heard back. My HR POC said medical is all they’re waiting on so it’d be nice to get some kind of a status.

I took the ATSA in November but couldn't finish the exam due to their testing site being down for maintenance (lol).
Took a second exam on December 31 and just called today today after reading this thread to find out I'm in the Best Qualified band.
She did mention that the referral list is still open, but really wish I hadn't gotten screwed by the FAA's own site, which I'm told is an ironic joke about the FAA.
Similar situation here. Late exam for reasons, same band, still waiting.

Yeah, tomorrow's the big day.
Scott be sure you PM me your room number so we can get together and... “study” ?

Between 2 and 74 weeks I’m afraid. Medical will tell you it’s under flight surgeon review, HR will tell you they’re waiting on medical, and around and around it goes. No news is good news, HR will contact you when everything cleared

Are you pool 1 or pool 2?

I complete agree with Etney. This was my first attempt and didn't use a prep guide. I was pool 2 and luckily got my TOL in the first wave. I can't say I wasn't nervous when I was about to take the ATSA but you do your best the days before to create a good positive atmosphere for yourself. I felt like I did terrible on the reading/writing part but felt good on the rest. I used whatever advice I could gather from this forum and from MJ's very first post in this thread. Lastly, the community on this board are so helpful when you have questions and they won't hesitate to assist you in anyway they can.
