Do you typically get some sort of a heads up before you get your FOL and class date?

I finished everything up 4/30.

Dunno if I should like...prepare anything now. I could be tier 2'd for all I know.

The fact you haven't heard anything about your MMPI2 you should be good. Usually medical takes the longest, so just a waiting game. I had to email my medical POC and she told me I passed mine, about same time frame as you.

I never got a heads up, just an email from my HR PoC offering me a class date one afternoon. Both my medical PoC and my HR PoC were super quick to answer my emails though.

Just received my FOL for June 13 enroute, POC is CG. Here's my timeline:

Applied - July 27
ATSA - November 9
TOL - December 21
CIL - February 13
Completed security requirements - February 28
MMPI - March 1
Drug Test - April 5
Physical - April 8
FOL - May 22nd

Can't believe this is actually happening.

Has anyone been able to set up CBA for their housing payments yet? I’ve sent two emails to the address on the welcome packet, and left a voicemail, and my housing provider says they still haven’t received confirmation that it’s good to go... and I move in a week from today!
I actually called student services today cause I also emailed last week and today and still no response. I called them and they said the guy who handles it was out today and it will get taken cared for tomorrow. I would give them a call just to let them know. And then follow up early next week if anything.

How is the area around the Academy regarding flooding, etc?
Unless you're staying at Kim's and have a garage spot, don't bring your car, especially if it's small. Take the shuttle. We had a pretty bad storm and there's a good amount of flooding on some routes through town, and there's more severe weather forecasted the rest of the week. Luckily no tornadoes in the area but we've had tornado warnings. Having a car here is really convenient if you go out a lot, but just keep in mind the roads did get bad.

Agreed. Definitely use main roads or the shuttle when it gets stormy. A lot of the backroads in the Yukon/Mustang area can get flooded.

This is a check in for all my homies in tier 2 purgatory. How are you holding up? Any updates? Keep on keeping on

Medical finally responded to my e-mail that I sent 2 weeks ago. They told me that I failed my MMPI, and that they have sent my stuff to HQ. But it’s nice knowing that I am not completely lost in the shuffle! Just waiting for Hope now...

Hey everyone! Glad to see that a lot of new hires are in the academy or getting dates! I wasn't fortunate enough to get a TOL this round (Qualified band), but I am looking forward to this years bid and retaking the ATSA.

If anyone is interested, this is the FAA's Controller Workforce Plan: FAA 2019-2028

I did find this part interesting: "For FY 2019 hiring, there were fewer well-qualified applicants in Pool 1, thus limiting the number of well-qualified Pool 2 applicants that could be selected for a position."

Just a bad year for ATSA takers?

The area near Academy is fine. It's near the housing areas that are the problem. The summertimes here are the worst from what I've heard. We've already had two tornado watches/warnings and plenty of thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail. (I've been here 5 weeks) It floods fairly often and the roads are very poorly maintained. Instructors have told us lots and lots of horror stories. Not all housing complexes have covered parking areas. Take all these into consideration before deciding to bring your car. Gas is around $2.50 a gallon around here but the risk of hail scares many students (anything ranging from golf ball size to tennis ball size hail)

For me, I got a phone call from my HR rep. Came from a 405 area code. Got my FOL in the email the same day.

I got a heads up but only because my POC needed a copy of my official college transcript. She sent me an email saying I'd been cleared and that she was ready to give me a date, but needed my official transcript on file, since that's how I qualified for the position. I sent her a PDF copy and she sent me a class date and FOL within the hour.

Hi! I've been lurking for a while but just got my FOL so I thought I'd share my timeline.

Applied - July 28th
ATSA - November 6th
Referred - December 7th
TOL - December 21st
CIL - February 13th
MMPI - February 14th
Security - February 19th
Drug Test - February 22nd
Physical - February 22nd
Turned in additional lab work - March 29th
FOL - May 21st

My start date is July 11th for Enroute
I am beyond excited and relieved.

FYI: I never received any heads up it was coming. I just got an email one day with a tentative date and some follow up questions, once I accepted it I got my FOL later that day.

Also, if anyone has any recommendations on housing, or advice to share, it would be very welcomed. Thanks guys!

Does anyone know what the schedule is for the week? Is it just Mon - Fri? or Weekends too?

mon-fri, and you rotate between day shifts and night shifts, so you could have a week of 7am-3:30pm classes followed by a week of 3:30pm-midnight classes and go back and forth. my class is having our first week as days and the next three weeks are all gonna be nights o_O
