I was notified my med clearance was completed on monday 22nd, received the email from HR wednesday 24th. Then the HR rep went on vacation through today so never received my FOL yet. Haha

Finally got my academy date! September 9th terminal. Looks like the northwest mountain flight surgeon finally got back to clearing some people. For anyone else who has her, I had LM as my POC and never got a single message/response past my CIL and I got my academy date from a different POC.

Might be out of the loop here, but did anyone else who got an e-mail regarding class dates have part of it say you need to submit some forms before receiving your FOL? 2 of them are veteran forms and I was never in the military so not sure what they want there.

Yeah I did immediately, just didnt get a response today and was wondering if that was just for some reason part of every academy date email or if something got messed up. Hope this doesn't delay my date further.

Didn't send anything, but requested a DD214 and a Civil service preference letter. They also requested a college transcript, I went for a semester eight years ago then dropped out so didn't mention it in my initial application since it wasn't necessary with my work experience (but did disclose it in the security clearance forms).

I had the same thing in my emails and asked and was basically told not to worry about it. Did you accept the date? If so did you receive your FOL already?

I only received the email this morning, I responded immediately both questioning the forms needed and that I accepted the date/had no changes in my answers to the questions. No FOL or response yet, I expect it'll be a few days for that. Good to hear someone else got sent it as well, makes me a little less nervous for more delays. Last thing I need is them thinking I was ex-military when I'm not.

I was military but the forms were submitted with my application. The issue I was worried about was college transcripts when I never applied based on education. I think either way it's a non issue. We wouldn't have gotten this far if they didn't have what they needed from us, or we could have, it is the FAA afterall.

Congrats! As much as i would love to start on the same date, I really hope they have an En Route class coming up.

Can anyone tell me if they have been successful in asking HR to change them from Terminal to En Route, or vice versa?

Well considering my wife and kid may be coming with me, I'll have to get the biggest place I can find with the per diem allowance. Any personal recommendations?

I’m not sure you’ll find a place for the per diem exactly. I’m in Anatole north, went through corporate solutions and it was pretty reasonable. I’d highly suggest them.

Oh, and I’ve got my wife and two kids here too.

I stayed at Anatole South 3 years ago through FAA rooms in a 1br with my wife and daughter. I'm not sure how old your kid is but the walk in closet was big enough to be a small room for my daughter.

I've got both clearances, and I'm still waiting for contact from HR. I had to call medical HR to find out I was cleared.

You can call the regular HR number to make sure they have received all the clearances and see if your packet has been passed on to an HR rep. That's what I did to make sure it was still moving.

Did just that just now. Apparently who I thought was still my HR rep, was not anymore. My packet was given to another HR rep, whom I've acquired their email address. I'm not letting them forget about me lol

I got KG as HR POC, and I found her on some shady FAA resource site, emailed her that I had received clearance, and she sent me email about sending in DD214, college transcripts, and Veterans Disability forms
