Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

At this point I’m wondering if they are even working on getting CIL’s out or if they’re waiting until the end of Feb to see if the government shuts down again

I just assumed that they wouldn't start that whole process if there was a potential that the government would shutdown anyway. It's probably safe to bet that CIL's won't be sent out until that is resolved.

I am near the end of the process of getting my security and medical clearance for a different federal job and the background investigations team and medical clearance people were still working during the shutdown, I just wasn't getting updates from the HR folks. So I'm wondering why they wouldn't just send CILs out and let them get started.
The job is under DHS though, I don't know if that makes a difference.

Makes too much sense for the government

Not exactly bid related but I had the chance to tour a military tower today, definitely a pretty eye opening experience to see everything in real world and get a feel for the different systems, even tho it’s a low traffic base. They also had a sim that had actual voice response and all these bells and whistles that I never would’ve guessed existed. Fingers crossed for additional TOLs to come out ?

Fun fact, towers that are less than 100ft tall apparently don’t require an elevator. Today’s tower was 98ft so there’s also that.

It’s just a coincidence I’m sure
