Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-18-ALLSRCE-57792

Fellow veterans, any idea where I can get a VA disability compensation breakdown? They want conditions and percentages and the only VA letter I can generate just shows combined percentage.
If you set up an eBenefits account it should be on there. That’s the only place online I know of, other than that I’m sure you can go into your local VA.

I found the breakdown on there, but I can’t find it In any official va letter or anything. Will a screen shot be good enough?

I have a couple of questions, for the medical portion of the CIL process. I am a prior vet with a 70% disability rating and before I separated from the Navy I personally made a copy of my full medical record and kept my original full breakdown paperwork for my disability rating. Is that going to satisfy the needs of the flight doc when I'm being screened for the FAA or do I need to contact the VA to have them send a sealed copy of my medical records somewhere?
Second question is that part of my disability is "unspecified anxiety disorder (also claimed as sleep disturbances)". Is that medical diagnosis disqualifying?
Other important information to note is that I do not take, nor have I been prescribed any medication for this disability.
Thanks in advance for any feedback!

You are grossly misinterpreting that. Nearly everything listed is completely disqualifying for ATC. The FAA is a lot more than controllers...

No, they will send away to the VA for sealed copies.

You're going to have problems with that one

No established medical history or clinical diagnosis of any of the following:
  1. A psychosis;
  2. A neurosis; or
  3. Any personality or mental disorder that clearly demonstrates a potential hazard to safety in the air traffic control system. Determinations will be based on medical case history (including past, social, and occupational adjustment) supported by clinical psychologists and board-certified psychiatrists, including such psychological tests as may be required as part of medical evaluation.

Didn’t think of it that way you’re right, but Im confused as to why during the application process they asked for our disabilities to be disclosed an even asked if we qualified for special hiring authorites
because you can qualify under a hiring authority and still meet the ATC medical requirements. for example, I knew a girl who was paralyzed from the waist down, but she could still pass the medical. she was just restricted to working at non-towers.

SoCal folks got a response from my MMPI POC. They stated that they’ll wait to schedule, awaiting to see what happens with the shut down if it’s going to happen or not.
