Yes you would earn 6hr per pay period.Do I earn extra leave?
All federal service counts when calculating how much leave you accrue, including military service. Leave accrues as follows:
I read this under the "veterans" tab of the FAQ on this site. If i'm reading this correctly, my 6 years in the military earn me a higher accruing rate right off the bat?
- 1-3 yrs service: 4hrs per pay period
- 3-15 yrs service: 6hrs per pay period
- 15+ yrs service: 8hrs per pay period
Haven't gotten my CIL yet, but I'm wondering if you're able to schedule on weekends?
I just started a new job and I don't think it'd be a good idea to ask for a week day off right away.
Not likely for the MMPI as it is typically the facility secretary the administers the test and they only work M-F excluding federal holidays. For the physical and the drug test it will depend upon the locations at which you are assigned to go.Haven't gotten my CIL yet, but I'm wondering if you're able to schedule on weekends?

Nah just keep it here. Also MODs of this site, would it be easier if we create a CIL thread, for all of us to communicate with each other? Just wanted to ask before doing so.

Thank you for your service as well! ??????Recently separated vet here. I started with DHS prior to applying for this bid. Once you get hired, get a copy of your dd214 to HR and they will adjust your leave accrual.
Thank you for your service
