I don't think so. Some people (one person?) had their security POC email them instructions for the e-QIP already, but not everyone by any means.

Do I earn extra leave?
All federal service counts when calculating how much leave you accrue, including military service. Leave accrues as follows:

• 1-3 yrs service: 4hrs per pay period
• 3-15 yrs service: 6hrs per pay period
• 15+ yrs service: 8hrs per pay period

I read this under the "veterans" tab of the FAQ on this site. If i'm reading this correctly, my 6 years in the military earn me a higher accruing rate right off the bat?

Yes you would earn 6hr per pay period.

I just started a new job and I don't think it'd be a good idea to ask for a week day off right away.

Not likely for the MMPI as it is typically the facility secretary the administers the test and they only work M-F excluding federal holidays. For the physical and the drug test it will depend upon the locations at which you are assigned to go.

Recently separated vet here. I started with DHS prior to applying for this bid. Once you get hired, get a copy of your dd214 to HR and they will adjust your leave accrual.

Fellow veterans, any idea where I can get a VA disability compensation breakdown? They want conditions and percentages and the only VA letter I can generate just shows combined percentage.
