Anyone have any idea if they are looking to close the FAA to DOD back into FAA?
Close, no, but according to Lebovidge they are looking into the possibility of relegating you to your previous CPC facility only. I highly doubt that will ever comes to pass, too many moving parts and different hiring options for you to return.

Are reinstatement’s still bound by the age limit/requirement.
For example, I’m 31. Say I want to leave at 33 for 5 years, could I come back to the FAA, as long as my retirement requirements are met?

Almost as if Lebovidge is doing it just to spite a certain someone we both know 🤔

There are no age restrictions for DOD transfers. If you're not referring to that, the language in the MOU states...

"4. Eligibility.
To be eligible, former CPC candidates who separated from FAA must:
• be reinstatement eligible and satisfy other requirements (e.g., citizenship, selective service registration); and
• meet all qualification and position requirements, including maximum entry age for original appointment and retention age provisions (see paragraph 5, Age 56 Limitations) and applicable medical and security requirements. "

That dude needs to be out of his seat. There would be zero reason to restrict a new applicant to their previous facility. Wouldn’t be surprised at all. He’s extremely spiteful.

People need to run, they have to be encourage to challenge that status quo. So long as people think someone else will do it for them, they will not see the incentive to do anything.

Is he actually the one pushing for that though? All the post above said was that "they are looking into the possibility of..."

Every time I've talked to Lebovidge he's been very approachable and helpful

Random question .... I know you have to be separated from FAA for a certain amount of time to be a reinstatement. Anyone know how long you have to be separated for to apply on a previous experience bid. Example: can I quit today and apply previous experience tomorrow and would I get a list or just forced to my previous facility

As long as you’re separated by the time a tol is issued.

I was hired prior to 31. Resigned at 33. Rehired at 38 with my SF50. Was offered previous facility I was originally at in a list of 5 other locations.

Can we get a little more information?
1. Did you come in initially as prior experience or military?
2. Did you reapply as prior experience or reinstatement?
3. You were offered 6 facilities, did you get to pick your facility or did you have to rank them and the faa assigned you a facility?

Prior Military. I used my prior military certifications on my "pink card" to validate 52 weeks of "certified" experience on my bid. My bid was a prior exp/reinstatement type of bid which I posted links below of the archived bid itself from 2015.

I was in Western Pacific. Resigned from an 8 UP DOWN after 11 months due to the REDBOOK changes made us wear suits to work and jacked up/lied about what I would make, old/new pay scale... long story. Had a company making good money, so I quit. Sold company years larer and... Got rehired back into the same region likely based on my address when I applied was still in the same region. I was offered 5 facilities that were 7-9LVL and they were all over the USA. I took the only one close to me which IRONICALLY was the one I came from. They had me list them in order of pref and I got my first choice. Most everyone in that cycle got first choice. Here is the thread from stuckmic and I pulled from the archives the actual bid retirements.

He was under the old bid system. Not relevant to current procedures.

The point is... if you have an SF50. you'll be able to get back in eventually. I waited 3 years for the bid to read correctly.

Anybody experienced any new success using this avenue? Also, if I separated from the agency as a controller would I be able to apply for a TMU position using this process?

Currently waiting on the ATM to submit to the ATO. Only problem is finding the correct POC to send it to. Anyone know this one. What if your DOD pay is higher than the top of the band where you are going? Keep the pay with no raises or top of the band? Actually it may be close to the same after losing the 30% SSR
