Do you need 52 weeks as CPC in order to be a temporary Staff Support Specialist?

Why you running away from traffic when you are not even a CPC for a year yet?
Maybe to get to a different location or have a schedule he wants that will benefit his life?

The God complex within ATC is pathetic. Why are you so insecure that you talk shit to strangers on the internet because of their job choice?

Wasting time of fellow controllers who train you is what pisses people off, bro.
Thats probably one of the worst takes on why someone can’t leave the career field. ATC will always be a revolving door, everyone has their own agenda and own destination in mind. No one owes the trainer anything but a thank you for doing his job and getting paid extra for it. My 2 cents.

If you soft, say you soft
What does soft have anything to do with my comment? If anything the comment I responded to was the “softest” thing I read on this forum. The guy seems like a blast at parties for getting upset with everyone and anyway who leaves his facility if he had anything to do with his/her training. That’s a complete shit mindset. Get over yourself no one owes anyone anything in this world. Stay miserable by all means, but keep that shit to yourself.

Are your differentials worth drinks with neighbors Friday night? Little Johnie's soccer game on Saturdays? Leave the same?

Anyhow yes you need 52 weeks.
Heads up it might not be good time (1.7% vs 1%)
My former one kept current allowing him to clock the 1.7% (to my recollection).

Yeah some do but it's an important detail. 19*1.7 is 32, so it's a 12 year difference at 1% (non good time) this is assuming you get hired at your one year mark. At the 10 year mark it's about a 7 year difference.

BUT some don't require medicals/forced retirement right?

You’ll still keep the 1.7 of the years you worked as atc, people think you don’t but in fact you do.

Also if you NEED the extra percentage assuming is between 5-10 years left to so, you did something wrong with your money for a large majority of the work force.

Yeah but this guy is looking at year one. If it isn't goos time you only have one year at 1.7

If you want to do it as a full duty (like assigned that job as acting Support Specialist), yes. You have to be a year CPC. If you want to do it temporarily (see Article 17), no. It can be assigned as an additional duty.

Maybe it has nothing to do with him. Maybe the woman in his life wants to live in the Seattle area so she has an excuse to grow out her bush. The Seattle job posted was the only one I saw worth applying to so if it’s not Seattle then just apply this comment to wherever this person is applying.

Not to steal the thread BUT does anyone know if you can take a SS job and then get to a controller position later at the same facility? Guessing that’s just an ERR but i haven’t heard of anyone doing that. NCEPT ain’t going to get me home
