APPLICANTS MUST ALSO BE WILLING TO WORK AT ANY FAA AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL FACILITY.
The FAA has Air Traffic Control Facilities in every state as well as Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and Guam. Air Traffic Control Specialists in the Terminal option control air traffic at airports and give pilots taxiing and takeoff instructions, air traffic clearances, and advice based on their own observations and information from the National Weather Service, Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCCs), flight service stations, pilots, and other sources. They transfer control of aircraft to the ARTCC controller when the aircraft leaves assigned airspace, and they receive control of aircraft coming into assigned airspace.
Air Traffic Control Specialists in the En Route (Center) option give aircraft instructions, air traffic clearances, and advice regarding flight conditions while en route between airports. They provide separation between aircraft flying within the Federal airways or operating into or out of airports.
This is an Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) position responsible for the safe, orderly and expeditious movement of air traffic through the nation's airspace. Additional information regarding these positions is located at: Aviation Careers

Relax man. Just apply and see what happens. People have had their offers rescinded because they have more than 120 days but it’s usually months (or years) more. I don’t think anyone at HR is going to count the exact number of days and DQ you for having 123 or something minuscule.

I'm trying to relax ;p Just really on the wrong side of the edge.

Air Traffic Organization, various Terminal and En Route (Center) air traffic facilities FAA-Wide”

Has the last few prior exp bids had that bit about En Route (Center) it’s bit before?
It’s just I haven’t seen prior exp lists have centers before, just HCF most recently.

As stated above they have included them. A buddy of mine got a center on a prior experience bid, just had to go through OKC

Be persuasive with the Airman who is going to sign it and have them date the memo the day you hit 120 from DOS.

Wilco thanks for the advice. Do you know of any success stories?

Nope. Just an idea. Two days is two days. Like NOVA said, most people are turned away for applying weeks or months before they are even at their 120 mark. Either you get a memo that's dated sometime next week stating that you have 125 days (or so) until discharge, or you persuade them to date the memo on your 120th day (the 11th?). I feel like a memo that says you have more than 120 days is easily recognized and more likely to be grounds for denying your application; whereas a memo that is dated two days after the application closes is less likely to get flagged/noticed since the memo will still say you are 120 days from separation and it was included by the application deadline. Just my opinion though. Either way, there is risk and you should apply regardless. Good luck!

Serious question, Are they that serious about the 120 day mark? i have a buttload of terminal leave that i am hoping they'll consider using as my date....

Just get the statement of service that says when you're released from active duty. They will verify info with you if they are going to issue a TOL.

I know I am wigging out pretty hard here, but just day 1 of bid release jitters. I know I need to just submit the required paperwork and ride it out.

A friend of mine had a letter of service typed up and signed that showed his separation date and the date he will start Terminal leave. So maybe you can do the same.

I think you can get a copy on virtual MPF or whatever it's called now. Someone with more recent experience would have to chime in with that... way past my time.

I was on terminal leave within 120 but separation was like 125. I had a letter typed up and signed by my CC that stated I would be on terminal leave effective whatever date, and the US code paragraph that states you're allowed start new employment while on terminal leave. I didn't get a TOL. Very next bid, TOL.
