A new contract agreement between the FAA and PASS was announced Sept. 26.

Another FAA entity that got a new contract. NATCA's?
I think there’s a lot of low hanging fruit on our contractRich has already said he's reopening the contract when we can. You can't just do it anytime you please. He also said in his townhall a month or so ago that we can get more than a lot of people think.
Article only mentions PASS getting $5,000 which is crap and telework protections (nonapplicable to us).
Why would he initially have said he wanted to extend then? Everyone running sucks, but that seems like a way to hook people in hopes of a better contract and pay but getting disappointed when the updates contract arrives.Rich has already said he's reopening the contract when we can. The hope is that he is listening to membership and knows how we feel about an extension now. Of course he could go back and just extend again like they did last time. Why would he initially have said he wanted to extend then? It shouldn’t take an election for him or anyone on the NEB to know what their membership want. They are so far removed and out of tune with the controllers it’s scary and honestly unacceptable. Hopefully some of the new NEB can make a positive impact. The hope is that he is listening to membership and knows how we feel about an extension now. No they were literally surprised when JD ran and atc2 happened and rapidly changed their talking points. They only extended due to fear of a Trump reelection which would have not been good for the union. None of this is a surprise and anyone that thinks it is doesn't pay attention or brainwashed.
That's not the reason but sure. At least not what the Eastern Region leadership has said in person. But the NEA also polled their membership to extend or not.No they were literally surprised when JD ran and atc2 happened and rapidly changed their talking points.
Then you haven’t been paying attention. That's not the reason but sure. At least not what the Eastern Region leadership has said in person. But the NEA also polled their membership to extend or not.
ATC2 is meaningless and I've yet to hear it referenced by anyone outside the internet.
Like ok after your third dui and 2nd possession charge we ask that you permanently maybe go rpo and get good timeI think there’s a lot of low hanging fruit on our contract

Very logicalAll of NATCA's eggs really need to be in the basket of the currently ongoing Purple & Light Blue negotiations.
NATCA needs to secure as many massive wins as possible with those contracts so if Trump is elected they can just ask to carbon copy the contracts "without wasting governmental resources on tedious negotiations", which could still be a considerable win so long as what they negotiated was good. Or, ifBidenHarris wins, they can use it as the "starting line" to get even more.
They should really ask for an MOU to bring the huge raises straight overAll of NATCA's eggs really need to be in the basket of the currently ongoing Purple & Light Blue negotiations.

Their pay is set in accordance with the atc pay scale currentlyThey should really ask for an MOU to bring the huge raises straight over
So send it tf backTheir pay is set in accordance with the atc pay scale currently
This is a bunch of crap. The union was lazy and too busy kissing FAA a$$. How could our union be scared of Trump while other unions representing other FAA BUEs secure new contracts? They only extended due to fear of a Trump reelection which would have not been good for the union. None of this is a surprise and anyone that thinks it is doesn't pay attention or brainwashed.
Agree with most of this but fuck FAM flights being negotiated with our contract. Not enough people use this program to giving up bargaining power on something else just to get this written in. I FAM’d twice and it was a huge pain in the ass. Even if it comes back I will never do it again. I’ll just buy a ticket….This is a bunch of crap. The union was lazy and too busy kissing FAA a$$. How could our union be scared of Trump while other unions representing other FAA BUEs secure new contracts?
The union can't keep hiding behind "Trump this, Trump that" while everyone else is successful with new contracts. Get us a new contract with healthy benefits, consistent raises, and FAM flights that's valid for FIVE or SIX years. Who says a contract has to be valid for only four years? I mean technically, with all the MOU extensions, how long has the slate book around? The neb is just blowing smoke up rears and it's rubbish. (I) Don't like any of them and we're stuck with them again.
