FAA And PASS Forge New Contract

This is a bunch of crap. The union was lazy and too busy kissing FAA a$$. How could our union be scared of Trump while other unions representing other FAA BUEs secure new contracts?

The union can't keep hiding behind "Trump this, Trump that" while everyone else is successful with new contracts. Get us a new contract with healthy benefits, consistent raises, and FAM flights that's valid for FIVE or SIX years. Who says a contract has to be valid for only four years? I mean technically, with all the MOU extensions, how long has the slate book around? The neb is just blowing smoke up rears and it's rubbish. (I) Don't like any of them and we're stuck with them again.
This is a bunch of rambling, most have said they are getting a new contract in 2026 when it expires. Yelling online until 2026-27 isn't changing a single thing.

So send it tf back
send what back?

Im curious to see the temperature of the public response to the longshoremen strike.

So far on the Reddits I've been seeing a general sympathetic response even though they recognize they're well paid.

I want to be able to imagine what it would be like if NATCA's media team didn't do fuck-all.
FAA reauth.

staffing first, then pay when the contract expires in 26

Agree with most of this but fuck FAM flights being negotiated with our contract. Not enough people use this program to giving up bargaining power on something else just to get this written in. I FAM’d twice and it was a huge pain in the ass. Even if it comes back I will never do it again. I’ll just buy a ticket….
I just threw that in for good measure but don't tell them that.

They can't just write better staffing in to the contract.

They can pay us more which will attract better candidates and help with the existing people leaving.
Staffing topic : correct that’s why I assume there was a media campaign to get faa reauth passed. Can’t confirm this

Pay topic : Hopefully we can get more pay when the contract expires in 2026. We aren’t getting it before that 🤷🏼‍♂️

Throw in EV charging and daycare while you're at it. They gotta spitball all that shit and see what sticks.
Are you hearing any rumors of the purple book progress up at that big facility? There are underground reports that the FAA is not giving in to anything and wants to remove shit. NATCA allegedly preparing to go to arbitration to get anything.

If that is true, it’s a further insult that they are pressuring people to help with campaigns and support candidates for an administration which is certainly not federal pro-union.

No information has found its way to me over the last few months. The points of contact I had were "talked to" for associating with me, so pretty much all my NATCA lines of communication are dried up at this point.

If those "underground reports" are anywhere near accurate, then LeBovidge should have already requested Santa to initiate Operation Air Safety 2.0 by now at a few facilities. I don't know if I would put much weight into those rumors, the agency just went through the ringer with PASS and lost on quite a few things; I would like to think that would make them more willing to have more amiable negotiations with NATCA. I could absolutely be wrong, but I would hope the NATCA negotiating team isn't that massively incompetent.

I can speak to the PASS ATO Contract (the one that was ratified was AVS), it looks like (from my underground) that they will probably be going to impasse. Agency is digging in its heels on multiple fronts.

Teamsters refusing to endorse a presidential candidate? Democratic administration having poor labor relations with organized labor? Pilots union pushing back on unsafe practices?

Haven't I seen this one before?

The issue at hand is that they Agency (honestly no one) has any money. The push to return people that can telework to the office to shore up (NCR related) big businesses is massive. They want people in there buying $20 sandwiches, using the real estate, driving up prices. The list goes on, but we all know it is something much deeper than that and it is about assertive control.

I love the “higher pay attracts better candidates” argument. You still need a 70 to pass the academy. I’m more concerned with how some of these people are getting medicals.

The at sa will give you better candidates out of a better pool. The scores are based on how the pool does I think
