If you have 2,000 openings, and 300 previous experienced apply (40 of which were FAA CPC's), why did they choose not to select the 40 when they have so many openings.
Perhaps because those 40 have already demonstrated that they are willing to quit for various reasons leaving the agency with no one. Try new applicants who may be more willing to stay around... Not sure. I got a letter of rec from my atm and everything before I left. But I know that there were also a couple people in the same boat as me earlier in this thread that didn't get one. Idk, staying where I was wasn't worth being away from my wife for another 2 years so eh. I received my CIL today. I spoke with HR and my security POC. My security clearance is still good, my MMPI is still good, and medical will be getting back to me within 10 days to let me know if I need to do anything more than a drug test. I was hired on last years bid and this is my current status as a rehire.

Medical just emailed me stating that I do have to redo the entire medical process to include MMPI. My MMPI is a year old.

They told me the same thing... and then the FAA decided that since I'm a 2152 I'm not eligible, even though HR says I am.. so there's another battle for me since apparently FSS cannot ERR, be direct hired, NCEPT or apply through the bidding process... and I'm not even a training failure, I swapped voluntarily.
Just confirming, you resigned as 2152, but the FAA says your not eligible because you resigned as 2152?

That is freaking nuts. I think there has been a recent outflux (resignation) of employees who were put in NCEPT purgatory and they dont want to let you get to a different facility 'that easy', so they are using these non-meritorious reasons to not [re]hire you.I don't know about resigned, HR won't respond to me beyond "your question has been sent to the selecting official". And yes, I was prior military which is what I based my qualified on. What's even worse is, in January they placed a guy from my FSS, who ERR'd with me to FSS, back into ATS through a bid similar to this one... so they aren't even applying the same rules. Oh well, I threw everything I had into the fight while I also pursue other paths.

What step is your grievance on? Contract towers aren't too bad to work at.See... I'd kill to be in a spot where I cannot transfer because we don't have staffing... but we're part of the NCEPT MOU without being part of NCEPT, so that's not even an option. Union is supposedly involved, my management is supposedly involved, and since it's been a 2.5 year battle to try and get FSS eligible to transfer to ATS (since they allow transfers from ATS with no issues) I also got my senator involved. My grievance is now 16 months old and has not received any response other than 2 90-day extensions. At this point, though, I am applying for jobs outside the federal government and considering this path a wasted effort. Sad, really.. same medical, same security clearance .. you'd think there wouldn't be an issue. I wish the rest of you the best of luck... and don't let them send you to FSS unless you intend to never set foot in an ATS facility again.

Have you tried to contact natca national about the status? Sometimes you have to be the squeaky wheelIt went pretty much straight to DC. I was oceanic enroute in the Navy before I went to a ship, so no tower for this guy, so I can't apply for contract towers or even 80% of the DoD gigs.
I’m curious why you err’d to fss? If you don’t mind saying. If you have the credentials, it would prob be quicker to just resign and work contract or try for dod. Then just reapply or try for reinstatement. Unless of course you’re just over the bs and looking to move on to something else.
