A little of my personal experience: I applied during both the 2018 and 2019 bids, got my TOL during the 2019 bid, process was smooth except for medical. I have asthma and also had taken Adderall in the past (misdiagnosed with ADHD) and other medications + diagnoses that put a significant hold on things. Regardless of how healthy I am or the fact that I don’t currently take any medications, Asthma or ADHD alone are potentially disqualifying, so my record had me pretty worried to say the least.
I spent pretty much all of last year fetching medical records from years ago, running back and forth to and from doctors and pharmacies, and spending thousands on evaluations not even knowing if any of this would amount to anything. This was all made even worse with things being slowed down significantly last year during the shutdown. I was honestly mentally preparing myself this whole time for denial, but I finally was medically cleared this past week and am now waiting for a class date. Hopefully this encourages some of you that may also still be waiting/going through the process!
