Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-20-ALLSRCE-65607

While class lists have been updated on the website, our office has not received the official class listings from the Air Traffic Office. Our office has received TRACON class lists, but not En Route or Terminal. Once those are received, we will call applicants within a couple of days to place them into class seats. - HR

Do you all want en route or terminal?
Yes

I wouldn't be surprised if we have to wait for the fiscal year to start for class dates to be assigned to us, they've got to get the funding to run all of the classes.
I hope this isn't true. I don't think the fiscal year starts until October which would mean people would have basically 0 notice for the October classes.

I'm hoping not as well. I'm just going off of the info I was given by DP about a month ago. I was told that realistically I was looking to start around December unless they changed the amount of classes but I was also told I would be starting around August when I talked to DP in March. You've just got to roll with the punches at this point and not get too excited because things may not work out the right way.

Also, does the "x" next to the SF-85P underneath the e-QIP section of my security email mean I'm slated for terminal, or does everyone get an SF-85P? It seems substantially similar to the SF-86 from what I can tell.
Mine is checked off for 86.

Given I'm working through this stuff now I believe I am in the same TOL batch as you.

Cus it can actually be really fun working a bunch of airports at the same time. And you make like twice as much as a low level terminal
My understanding of enroute is you're not really working multiple airports, you're working at a center.

Ie: ARTCC, an air route traffic control center, typically handles instrument traffic at the flight levels (18k ft and up for most commercial traffic, albeit occasionally below). Traffic may literally just be passing through your Flight Information Region, and not landing, albeit they could be landing. If they are, you typically would hand off to a terminal facility.

This is from what I know from being a pilot already, not from working this job, please correct me if I'm wrong current ATCSes. ?
