Federal buyout???

This is outside of VSIP by the way. So free 8 month vacation then reapply
Anyone know if the reinstatement policy is still off under a year you go back to the original facility you were CPC at? If I’m a CPC-IT do I go back to my previous facility or the one I’m training at? If this was for real an 8 month paid vacation I’d be tempted.

If you get hired within 5 years you have to pay it back, and it says you can still be assigned other duties during that 8 months

I thought the same thing for the pay back, but it isn't a VSIP, severance, or a RIF. It's a delayed resignation so it's not suspectible to paying back unless they included some specific language in it specifically.

You’re still acting like everything is normal while we have OPM emailing employees directly
With all the craziness going on, the OPM Emailing everyone is like last on the list of weird things that can or could happen. You mean to tell me that the government emailed government employees? Oh no!

No it’s extremely weird to get emailed an offer to quit your job outside your chain of command.
Right, and typically, there’s an in-depth process where OPM gives implementation guidance to all the agencies about how to process an action. Who trusts that between your agency HR and this new OPM madness, your “resignation” will be handled properly, pay will be on time, benefits will continue, etc.? Hell, we have CURRENT employees who suddenly have jacked-up pay issues that seem to arise out of nowhere. Who do you call after you “resign” and didn’t get a paycheck on time during your “admin leave” time…OPM?
