You say that like I'm against the morality of it, personally I believe that profit from education is horrible and that a government has a vested interest in a well educated citizenry. Simply stating facts.

4 of those years I was included in, the Afghan papers pissed me off wholeheartedly, both my unit and the units involved in Moshtarak got raped.

Yet the Marine Corps doesn't answer to congress in terms of initial deployment, that's an Army/Air Force thing. So while Bush was well within his powers to invade Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2003, both congress and the people failed to hold him accountable.

Like I said, there is a difference between legality and morality.

Did I say it was in the covid bill? No! I'm not all super nationalist myself but given the year we've all had. I think one damn budget being somewhat clean of these fucking ridiculous foreign pet projects isn't to much to ask for. I'd rather see 10 million unemployed Americans be given a damn dollar than see a 10 million dollar Pakistani gender program. This should not be a business as usual omnibus.
