Unfortunately we’re the Yoonitad Stayts of Amureca and snap elections are impossible because you’d never be able to get 50 states of varying competence to hold elections quickly and effectively like that.

The problem is we hate parliaments cus of the queen but having a parliament would solve a lot of the complaints are bitching you head. You’d have several parties involved with government. And a straight popular vote.

Apparently the dysfunction called Brexit is lost on you.

Most parliamentary goverments don't have the separation of power the U.S. has. That's the chief cause of our issues.

At the same time parliament would elect president versus the people, gerrymandering and special interest groups would have a stronger hold on U.S. politics. That's the only upside of the current partisan division I can imagine.

Look into apportionment issues that face parliamentary governments. You'll see they face the same issues essentially, in fact many European governments are oppressive as fuck.
