Excuse my ignorance as I’ve never really understood the numbers and now I’m trying to catch up. Few questions.

How do they determine the Current % to target release percentage? I saw last panels was much lower

The only center that can release according to the latest numbers is ZMP?

Is the only expected to target % the 12th month? They don’t need 12 months in a row of 85% right?

Thanks, trying to understand how screwed I am

At or above 85.0 in ETT current (column N) and at or above 85.0 in the 12th month (column Z) to be green. Everything in between is only relevant to release date

The current % to target was lowered to 80% after CRWG because everyone’s percentage dropped after that. They raised it back up to the previous 85% now that everyone’s staffing is so much better than it was a year ago…

Understood… yeah at 80% my facility could release. 85% will take a while. I’m sure that 85% is the new number for the forseable future then huh?

Yeah I was told 85% will be the number going forward. I’m thinking of asking for a deviation when my facility hits 80%. I’m sure it will get denied, but we’ve let 3 people go on deviations to sup jobs or priority bids in the last year when we’ve hit 80%

CRWG is the biggest scam against workers in the history of labor
I don't necessarily agree. With our old numbers, everyone at my facility was going to be scheduled OT almost every week even when we hit over 85% staffed. I think some facilities went overboard with their new numbers, but we desperately needed our number to increase through CRWG since it wasn't happening any other way.

Was there not a previous process to request a new staffing number? Why did everyone have to get dragged into it.

Demand sheet on NATCA’s website say 4 people with ERRs outbound.
It’s derived from the FAAs database and it sometimes counts old errs that have already been approved. The FAAs database is pile of garbage.

What they should have said was there was only 1 center release total
Releases don’t tell us anything if no one wants to move. There were 27 available out of ZMP.
They don’t want people moving below 85 AOB. It’s a bullshit self preservation argument for upper management. They need more CPCs not less. And in doing so they’ve thrown all the tracons under the bus for the 50th time.

Wait...you're saying there's a way to not be under the bus?

You think no one out of all the centers wanted to move? The 85 number is why CRWG is a scam. So many places would have been fine if they reached the old number and now they made it even higher.

That’s clearly not what I said.

You make claims on behalf of 300 other facilities that you know nothing about.
BNA had its target raised a ton at crwg and then it’s been raised again since crwg and it’s still short. Some facilities have to reduce services because of staffing. TMIs and turning away a/c effects TCI and in turn effects FPL and in turn effects wages. Low staffing increases fatigue and introduces a safety risk etc. There’s a lot of factors and just cuz you think you’re facility has too many people means nothing outside of that building.
Having said all that I completely disagree with 85AOB for release now that we have ETT. It’s just pipe to beat the union with.

Every facility should be analyzed for the correct staffing number every single year. But CRWG moved numbers up at facilities that are already over staffed and still can’t release anyone. Now you just go to work and split off a dead sector cus you also aren’t allowed to have too long of a break.

Any facility can request a review. Maybe you just don’t share the same opinion as your FacRep and atm on what should be open. How many different opinions are in a Z?

That’s the frustration the people deciding this stuff is never even on the floor
