They’re going to do every single thing to do every single thing to make federal employment suck.Tell me you think this means there are no within grade increases?

You guys are funny if you think we are getting 1.6

Need a little help here…trying to figure out if my pay is wrong…what if your transfer effective date is the same date as the effective 1.6% raise. For easy math, lets just say you were going to make $80k this year and bottom of band CPC pay at the new facility is $140k. Your start date is May 1. It takes you 2 years to certify.
You get half (meaning $30k) when you walk in the door May 1, 2025 ($110k)
You get the 1.6% raise in June, 2025 ($111,760)
No presidental/executive increase for EOY 25 (assuming)
You get the 1.6% pay raise in June, 2026 ($113,548)
No presidental/executive increase for EOY 26 (assuming)
You certify May 1, 2027 ($143,548)
You get the 1.6% pay raise in June 2027 ($145,845)
and so on....
I think this might explain it. I guess I was supposed to go to the bottom of the band.Is 4% in the contract specifically? Doesn't sound familiar.
It works like this: On the day you transfer, calculate the difference in NON-locality pay between the old and new facilities.
Divide that in half and add that half to the NON-locality pay at the new facility. Keep the other half in mind, you'll need it later. Then add locality pay for the new facility.
If you're still a trainee when June comes around, add the June raise to your current pay. Same in January.
When you finally make CPC, take the old "half" number and add it back in to your current NON-locality pay, then adjust for locality.
The half that you add when you make CPC is exactly the same number as the half that you added back when you transferred. It doesn't get updated or changed if you've gotten a June or January raise in the mean time.
Date the FOL is issued doesn't matter. What does matter is where you are in the new building (assuming it's a pay raise) before June 1st. You would get the June 1st raise on the new salary which will significantly boosts your lifetime earnings as opposed to getting to your new facility after June 1st.Question... So if I'm waiting for a TOL and the 1.6% raise in June comes and goes and eventually I get an FOL for later this year... Will I get to keep the 1.6 and other raises while I wait for my eventual release date?
The second half goes on top of your 1.6% raise when you certify. I was in this situation twice and both times when I certified I was above the band a little from the 1.6.To piggyback off this: Do june raises just get washed away as a cpc-it after you certify or does it basically go on top of the second half on the go?
With the “half on the go, other half after cert” do you remember if it was literally the original “half” amount after certification, or if it was just the amount remaining to hit the bottom of the band? The second half goes on top of your 1.6% raise when you certify. I was in this situation twice and both times when I certified I was above the band a little from the 1.6.
You TOL or FOL will be adjusted with any new raises in it before you actually move so don’t worry that your FOL numbers will be binding of you have a 1.6 coming afterwards but before the move.
It’s whatever is left to get you to the bottom of the band. Your 1.6’s get added in on top. So you’ll be making x amount more of the base cpc pending how many 1.6’s you get. With the “half on the go, other half after cert” do you remember if it was literally the original “half” amount after certification, or if it was just the amount remaining to hit the bottom of the band?
To clarify what I’m asking I guess, let’s say the scenario is your salary currently is 100k, and the facility you’re transferring to has a base amount of 150k. “Half on the go half after cert” would be 25k and 25k. So you show up making 125k, but it takes 3 years to Cert so your salary after 3 years of 1.6’s and January raises is much more than 125…. Would you still get the flat 25k after certifying? Or would you just go to the bottom of the band?
Okay, so all those 1.6’s aren’t completely wasted during training? It’s whatever is left to get you to the bottom of the band. Your 1.6’s get added in on top. So you’ll be making x amount more of the base cpc pending how many 1.6’s you get.
Correct. As a cpc-it you retain those, thankfully.Okay, so all those 1.6’s aren’t completely wasted during training?
This is untrue. It’s a hard 25k upon cert and you’ll be above the bottom of the band due to the 1.6sIt’s whatever is left to get you to the bottom of the band. Your 1.6’s get added in on top. So you’ll be making x amount more of the base cpc pending how many 1.6’s you get.
Oh ok, I couldn’t remember exactly how without looking at the calculation sheet hr provided. Regardless you’re at the bottom of the band and 1.6’s put you above. This is untrue. It’s a hard 25k upon cert and you’ll be above the bottom of the band due to the 1.6s
