what is the procedure if you need to move 1 out 2 eligible people off the day shift for the mid for Covid coverage . Is it based on OT hours or seniority or something else?

There is no process for this like with an OT list and seniority. It’s whoever they decide to put on it. Probably the first to volunteer depending on the shift they are removed from the next day and impacts etc.

Who ever is the supervisor’s/OM favorite. Best you can do is let the sup know, “on the next one would you mind if I got it?”
