I have been written up once before in a job 3 years ago (and was later let go) but this was for performance, not misconduct.

If you're current, just bring that up with documentation if needed. They're usually only concerned if you're delinquent on collections but you'll still need to disclose it either way

I was just concerned that an investigator would potentially find out from my past employer that I did receive a written warning and would then ask why I didn't disclose it. But I guess I can always say that it wasn't for misconduct and my supervisor (who wrote the written warning) agreed that it wasn't.

It's okay to overthink the process especially the security portion. I've had a similar situation like yours but my job was in a minimum wage retail job and I had a write up for something trivial. The investigators most likely weigh info like that especially pay and work conditions. We're not perfect people, we mess up and probably have goofed off in our previous jobs from back in the day. It would only raise a huge red flag if you had misconduct in multiple jobs or did something like steal/embezzle. Disclosing your past just shows them you're trustworthy with sensitive information and less likely to get blackmailed. I never even had to do a background interview even with my checkered background but everyone's mileage may vary. But don't be alarmed if you have to do an interview

Disclose everything is all I will say. I told them i resigned from a job. When my employer got the paperwork they said i was fired. Maybe, but i had no reason to be fired and they even gave me a severance package because i wasnt bilingual and thats why they involuntarily forced me out indirectly. Once i told the investigators that, it was fine. Nobody gives a severance package to someone they fire.

Hey all quick question, have you all listed traffic tickets on your forms? I have a cell phone ticket from 2017 and stop light ticket from 2019, wasn't sure if these were required to list or not.

Also, one of my first employers was for a major retail company and that location since closed down so how would I go about listing their address?

1. For citations that are in regard to traffic violations, you don't have to if the fine is below 300 dollars which is explicitly stated on the eqip.

Does anyone know if this will prevent me from getting picked up by the FAA or obtaining a security clearance? (I currently have a secret with the Army) Of course, I’m prepared to disclose everything with security upon getting picked up. Thanks!

You're gonna have to disclose everything before getting picked up. Be prepared to provide tons of documentation and written statements, along with a phone or in person interview

I haven’t even received my EODS yet but I’m trying to be ready for when I do lol. Over the past 7 years I’ve had various hospital bills sent to collection agencies, the bulk of them were as a result of an emergency procedure right on the most inadequate time financially speaking. However, none of the agencies reported to the credit bureaus. I paid all the bills off and my credit remains clean and in excellent shape. Do I still have to report them on the background check?

Don’t overthink it. Just answer the questions exactly as asked. No more, no less.

Sometimes. A lot of people don't have an interview because there were no flags. I had an interview. Then they interviewed my wife. And then they interviewed my parents as well. All was done in person.
