Yeah, no, it’s a lot more than Biden saying things like that:
Your point is kind of silly, too. Politicians take advice and talking points from agencies and groups under their control and consult, they should absolutely be responsible for spreading misinformation. The Dems didn’t give Trump a pass for his many ridiculous medical comments, the same standard should be applied here.
Medical professionals constantly repeated that the vaccine prevents infection, and then walked that back to “prevents spread more than unvaccinated,” and now that’s being walked back as of Sunday to vaccines not preventing any spread at all. It sounds like you’re trying to dismiss official CDC/medical platforms as “some libs,” when that’s obviously not the case.
It’s a red herring, made by you.
They’ve linked videos of the CDC director saying things on CNN, it isn’t an opinion piece.
You don’t think that’s an important distinction? Why?
“For 6% of the deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned.”
"The Dems didn’t give Trump a pass for his many ridiculous medical comments, the same standard should be applied here."
K. I don't care. Do to Biden what libs did to Trump. My investment in this fight has nothing to do with defending Biden. I didn't vote for him.
"You don’t think that’s an important distinction? Why?"
Same reason I don't care if someone had cancer when a car crash killed them.
The distinction between "with" and "of" is used by conservatives as implication that these people would be dead anyway, and hence 'nobody is really dying from this, so masks and vaccines and social distancing are just politics'. Well f you.
They died OF Covid, end of story. They are people who would have lived longer if not for Covid.
You seem to have your doubts, which is why I shared about excess mortality in the U.S. 1 million more people have died since the pandemic began OVER what would normally be expected.
Excess mortality tables have been available since early 2021, so the fact that the federalist completely ignores this is a load of shit.
"Medical professionals constantly repeated that the vaccine prevents infection",
LinkS?
"and then walked that back to “prevents spread more than unvaccinated,” and now that’s being walked back as of Sunday to vaccines not preventing any spread at all."
Damn dude, your article is so full of shit that it's no wonder you're confused about what's real. You make the claim that such a thing was walked back over the weekend. "As of Sunday"
The article would certainly confuse you into believing that,
"Over the weekend, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky appeared on numerous news shows and bluntly admitted some big truths that critics of COVID mania have been saying all along."
They sandwich this in afterwards "Another admission of hers from August resurfaced on social media, after months of the media memory-holing it."
Then proceeds to share the details from the August conversation.
However, as recently as last week, data was published countering your claims that it does nothing regarding transmission:
"
Effect of Covid-19 Vaccination on Transmission of Alpha and Delta Variants | NEJM"
"Vaccination was associated with a smaller reduction in transmission of the delta variant than of the alpha variant, and the effects of vaccination decreased over time."
Challenge your own biases, dude. Or your hole is only to get deeper.
Here's a freebie though. An article you can trust, is current, and probably is good news to you:
There is no evidence so far that vaccines are reducing infections from the fast-spreading variant.
