Slate Book Extended Until 2029

This is the adult response
Yeah I think normal to be disappointed but the reality is that trump would wipe us off the map if he could get away with it. So sacrificing short term bargaining for longer term protection isn’t horrible. Having an intact contract is what protected us from the last round of anti union EOs. I guess we’ll see if it was the right move.

Does this protect us if they privatize us? I don’t think it would…

You think they can pull privatization off with a 3-5 seat majority in the house? I doubt it.
Hasn’t privatization had support on both sides of the aisle? The main guy last time was Dem from Oregon if I remember correctly.

Thought it was Schuster, and before that Mica. But either way both of those guys are gone and no one has tried to carry the torch in their place. But that could also be a bad thing in the sense that a new privatization effort might not have nearly as much thought or user input as the last one.

Privitization might be the only hope for this career. Regional FO’s 1st year are making what level 9 CPCs make and Regional captains are making ZOA pay. Forget about comparisons to the majors. Time for people to retire and quit. We just locked in 4 more years are declining purchasing power. You think the Trump administration is going to do COLA raises in January that are anywhere near inflation? It’s the easiest way to reduce federal payroll.

Guess we should’ve extended until 2050
