I don't think anyone is losing their medical though just for being high-risk. Indeed you have to have a condition to begin with that requires special consideration for keeping your medical. Personally I go to a specialist every year who writes out my condition, prognosis, medicines, etc, and as long as the condition is under control and wouldn't unexpectedly cause me to lose the flick or die in the middle of work, I get signed off every time. Realistically, coming down with COVID probably wouldn't kill me, but I'd surmise I'd be more likely to be unable to keep my medical afterwards than someone without my condition.
Same here, I have to get my special consideration yearly, which it being granted is contingent upon my Doctor sending the FAA form back that says no changes and may conduct ATC uninhibited. I still hold my medical and have not lost it so... We will see what happens.

Regarding the “high risk” whether people think it’s a scam or not, the FAA back at the end of March told us to stay home on EA. Personally, since I’m not a shitty human being, I’ve been staying home, taking classes online, getting lots of work done around the house, and going camping every other week or so. While it would be nice to have spent all this time with my family across the country, or traveling to cool places, I actually feel some modicum of responsibility to not put myself at greater risk of getting COVID since that’s literally the only thing the FAA is paying me for.

I’ve got a condition that the flight surgeon gets quarterly and annual reports that I have to submit from my own doctors, and legitimately triples my risk of death if I have to be hospitalized for any reason. While the statistics show it’s not a big deal, why TF would I go to work when I can have this preview of retirement? The day my rep or OM says that the FAA is changing their stance on high risk individuals, I’ll be back at work; but until then, why would I return?

Same here: Classes, Day trading, and some other things. Sure some family have called bitching that I should visit them but I am following all the rules and guidelines. Personally I do not care if people think it is a scam or not, this is between the doctor and myself. If queried I can honestly say that all the rules have been followed.

Anyone else happy to finally see NATCA formally release the EA recall plan? Of course we already know all the contained information due to sources on here (thanks guys), but it’s still nice to see a formal confirmation to back up the mystical telecons.

Of course my particular county just upgraded from orange to red during the past 48 hours, so that’s cool. But hey, at least there’s a PLAN!

I dont pretend to be anything better than shitty, though I still think I'm not as bad as a certain political figure. But I have used some AL to travel. Technically within FAA guidelines ?

natca emails should be going to your personal account not your work one...

NATCA and the FAA have collaboratively developed an OJT Recall Plan at the national level.

The developed procedures ensure consideration of employee safety in making the determination to recall employees from excused absence in order to resume OJT. These procedures are to be applied in conjunction with the collaboratively developed OJT Resumption plan.

Harvard Global Health Institute metrics will be utilized for determining the COVID risk level for each ATC facility based on the county that the facility resides. Harvard Global Health Institute experts calculate the COVID risk levels based on daily cases per 100,000 population on a 7-day rolling average. COVID Risk Levels are defined as:a
RED: 25 or more cases per 100,000 people
ORANGE: 10-24 cases per 100,000 people
YELLOW: 1-9 cases per 100,000 people
GREEN: less than 1 case per 100,000 people

The Parties at the national level will maintain a spreadsheet that tracks each facilities COVID Risk level and is updated each week. Facilities that maintain a COVID Risk Level of yellow or green for two consecutive weekly updates will be collaboratively reviewed by the Parties at the national level, in consultation with the Office of Aerospace Medicine, for a determination to initiate the recall of employees to resume OJT. Once a determination has been made, facilities will be notified by their DO/RVP to initiate the recall of employees to resume OJT.

The Parties at the local level are collaboratively developing an incremental recall plan of those employees who have been out of the facility so they can resume training. The plan must comply with the provisions of the OJT Resumption guidelines. The plan must address the order of recall and should be done in an incremental approach such as recertifications, followed by D3, D2, D1, and then AG. The incremental approach is based on the unique needs of each facility and can be sequential or a combination of the different levels depending on the number of trainees. The recall plan will be forwarded to the ARVP and GM for concurrence and then sent to the DO/RVP for approval.

While the facility recall plan will be developed prior to receiving notice of meeting the gating criteria established above, the facility must await separate notification from the DO/RVP to initiate the plan.

If the Parties at the local level determine a need to resume OJTI prior to achieving two consecutive weeks at the yellow or green COVID Risk Level, they must submit a request to their DO/RVP with justification and, with DO/RVP concurrence, the request will be elevated to the Parties at the national level for consideration.

In the event a facility that has been approved to recall employees subsequently trends to a red or orange COVID Risk Level, the recall of additional employees at that facility will be suspended. Additionally, the Parties at the national level, in consultation with Aerospace medicine, will determine further recall action and the effect on the status of employees currently in training at the facility.

You have natca emails going to your government account? Seems a little risky given that they send political stuff out.

But to answer your question: no I’m not aware of any way to access your .gov email outside of the intranet.
