Based on gating criteria, the number of confirmed COVID-19 positive employees in the facility and the rate of spread in the community where the facility is located, the Parties at the national level in consultation with Aerospace medicine have developed and/or updated the following temporary measures:

N90, ZJX, ZDC, ZTL – All training must be suspended. Recertification OTS excluded from requirement.

A80, ZNY– All training remains suspended. Recertification OTS excluded from requirement.

SJU - All training that cannot be accomplished socially distanced (6 feet apart) must be suspended. Recertification OTS excluded from this requirement.

JFK, ZME– Temporary measure suspending training that cannot be accomplished socially distanced is removed for those individuals approved to train in accordance with the gating criteria and OJT resumption plan.

All facilities will continue to be evaluated weekly to determine what, if any, additional measures are necessary. This will include reevaluating the temporary measures implemented at the above facilities. Please work with your counterpart to ensure the facilities are notified.

Is this legit?

I'm at a center out west, just got yanked from training on position, no info except that it was a national directive...

So fucking stupid....

This definitely came from way above. It was probably a call from Mayor Pete or the White House.

So there's an excel file that tracks the covid status for each facility and the corresponding color code (green/yellow/orange/red), as well as the number of covid cases at each facility, which facilities are newly eligible to recall employees, and which are newly paused.
Each week it's updated and then additional decisions are made to determine which facilities can train/not train based on flight surgeon input.

So is resumption of training based on new factors now or is it solely the Harvard map?

So we get the magic map plan 4 months ago, and the criteria was so strict that virtually everyone has been red the entire time. Now finally, COVID cases are going down and facilities are getting closer to meeting the criteria. But out of the blue, these arbitrary stoppages are popping up across the country that seemingly have nothing to do with the map. So I guess we’re just going to keep changing the rules to continue fucking trainees, and AG’s most of all, for the foreseeable future now?

The all knowing Aeromedicine staff are screwing it all up

What a bunch of bullshit. The top infectious disease doctors in the country haven’t been able to figure this shit out. The FS has barely been involved at all for a year and now they just want to randomly start declaring that facilities need to stop training?
