Are they going to sort the trainees into the different crews? Guessing yes but you never know.

I know it was mentioned a few weeks ago that they would, I haven't heard anything different.
Also, doesn't really change anything, but when facilities transition from 3 to 2 crews, or from 2 to 1 crew, Headquarters level must approve the transition.

Did they say anything about labs?

Faceshields will be optional in addition to the masks
To make masks mandatory would require lots of negotiating Impact & Implementation

heres my shocked face! #FalseGods #MaskMafia #FearPorn #BestJobinTheWorld

Now what happens when OJTI's say theyre not comfortable w it? Robertb

what does this mean for those w pre-existing conditions? If training is mandatory will they also be coming back? GulfCharlie

Furloughs off the table!? mnsalty prob says (Lee Corso) NOT SO FAST

How much "spool up" time will trainees get!? 32andBelow may need to redo his maps!

If facilities all need massive shipments of various PPE to wear , shouldn't their checks be wearing Hazard Pay!? FightingIrish2012

I don’t think that plan will work, some trainers and trainees will say the PPE is too cumbersome to work with, some will still say they are not comfortable to train with all that, other issues will occur and it will take way longer then expected to deliver the equipment and evaluate it. I would be fine training or training others that way but if you are going to make a spectical of it give us 10% Hazard Pay, people will be more likely to accept it that way.

Didn’t he say it was option. Based on the amount of controllers I see wearing masks I don’t think it’s going to be a problem.

Quick update for those that are high risk CPC's or CPC-IT's or just AG/D bands... No one knows when we are coming back, regardless of the traffic situation.

Last I heard, facilities can make a request with the flight surgeon to bring high risk back. Sounds like they wouldn't make said request unless needed for staffing, and even then it'll be up to flight surgeon.

So.... 2021?

Frankly though I'd be pleasantly surprised if they didn't call us in same day as the no-cert BUEs.

Correct, they can make a request but (obviously it depends on the Flight Surgeon) to bring high-risk back and then have a high-risk become infected? There is no fathomable way I can see a Flight Surgeon endangering a high risk individual's health much less making the Agency liable.

If you get covid from your trainee and die, life insurance pays triple I heard.

Or if you get covid from your trainee, they have to help raise your kids if you die.
