Face shields just arrived! I’m ready for the glass bottom boat!

It says to come up with a training plan on the current schedule. So I guess so. Idk man, my ATM has been trying to go to regular schedule with no OT ever since we started 5/5. Our BWS MOU would call for 6/1 every week. She’s trying no cancel our OT and not have us on 5/5. So she’s drooling at this lol
You're on 5/5 with OT?

Training radar controllers doesn’t even take extra people. And it doesn’t sound like they are bringing back many d side trainees yet

We're not even bringing back rside trainees yet. Only people that are good to train for us are those that have been working the whole time. Month at soonest for any trainees to come to start coming off of EA for us.

Most facilities have had d side certified people working

I’m not sure I understand the question, but from my knowledge it is a strict requirement that contracted remote pilots/ AT instructors be the ones to administer most if not all lab training. Now we all know how much or how little the contractors are used when running the scenarios, but it is still necessary that they are there to “tick the box.”

Before getting to my Z I was an RPO at ZDV, ZKC, ZMP, and ZBW. I can tell you every facility is different. The way it's done at your Z is not the way the others do it. From 100% contractors in the lab and classroom, to having done the lab with no contractors at all (but building up contractors due to a lack of trainees). At one point I was working RPO with a CPC who was called in on overtime just to RPO. I remember telling her she was making as much in an hour as I was making in a day. It's all over the place.

If they need RPOs and can't get the contractors in I could totally see them calling in students on EA to act as RPOs. It's not out of the question.
