For anyone out on high risk EA who returned to their facility for a second over the shoulder (after the one in June) between June and now, this is the interpretation I’ve received and was confirmed by RVP: everyone’s currency was extended uniformly from June to Nov 30 by waiver, and the new training order was amended to read that anyone who is out more than 30 days (but less than 120 days) from that over the shoulder will need some OJT. So if you want to avoid training again, you will need to return and receive another over the shoulder prior to Dec 30 (30 days from the Nov 30 waiver date). At that point you’re there in the facility for good. Or you can choose to be decertified and stay home. Convoluted but that’s how it’s being interpreted in my region/facility so far.

My initial reaction to reading of the email was that if you had data or an A side in March, you go back to work.

I’m choosing to go back rather than retrain. Not ideal but training f’ing sucks and hopefully vaccines are around the corner.

ClearanceClarence Yep I skipped right over that part.
But the most restrictive part of getting someone back to train was reaching the appropriate COVID gating criteria to bring them in the building. Once that happens, it's just an approved training plan at the District/GM level before OJT can resume.
The recall of people by November 30th will accomplish the most difficult part, just need to write and get the training plan approval.

The ojt recall plan also states trainees that are part of a permanent crew are able to train. Hopefully they forgot to amend that section.

I don’t think that’s correct. Orange and red doesn’t stop OJT. There were counties that were red and haven’t recalled but are training and I don’t remember reading anything in the OJT plan about needing to be yellow to train.

I wasn’t on the furlough-talk bandwagon, but at this point that’s kinda the only explanation for dragging thousands of unusable employees back into facilities to literally just sit there all day/“self study” in the middle of nightmarish rona numbers. There has to be something bigger at play that we aren’t aware of.

Well according to some, the people who said their RVPs were talking about furloughs were just making it up to make the union look bad so that can’t possibly be true.

This is what I'm going with also. It might be Spring until the Harvard map says most can come back into the building

I respectfully disagree. I interpret - and believe the intent of the Harvard map is to be used only for recall purposes. not eligibility to move from the admin realm to the floor.
