USAJOBS ? Job canceled?

Very curious as to why this would happen. Applied to a supervisor bid a few months ago, now the job posting is closed saying “canceled” and that thanks for applying but won’t be processed. Why would the posting be canceled a month after close date?

Happens pretty often when: not enough people apply, they don't like any of the candidates, they decide that they don't need to staff the position due to unforeseen circumstances, or they just don't like the list of people who applied.

It happens when a job is cancelled. I sincerely hope this helps. I am sorry your OS bid did not work out.
