I love how those completely oblivious to the current process are getting class dates first, while it seems the rest of us are going to have to wait until at least June to start lol

Sucks 2 suck. I'm prior experience. Only elected to take basics because I've been out of the game a couple of years.

Very nice. I see it mentioned they generally do a "first come first serve" style for class dates. If that's the case, I wonder what's going on with mine. I'm chomping at the bit over here.

There are at least a handful of people, but I think most of them havent been active lately, likely because of the lack of EODS and progression lol.

I am having some trouble finding a place to schedule the MMPI it seems all the proctors are teleworking and haven't gotten any return calls from the messages I have left. Does anyone have any insight on getting these scheduled?

I called the closest one to me and never got a call back but any facility I emailed responded same day. So I would try emailing all your proctor's that are close to you or that you are willing to drive to and go from there.

Im still waiting, contacted HR rep, they told me that they were going to try send out EODs by the end of Jan. they also said that theyve been backed up, but that I was in the pending list.

I didn’t encounter any proctors that were teleworking, but I would suggest calling the proctors at different times of the day. I wouldn’t count on them returning your calls. I had called one proctor, not gotten an answer, then called again about an hour later and they answered. Also, emailing can’t hurt, but be prepared to have to call proctors that are farther from your area. You might need to travel a little in order to get it done sooner rather than later. I had to drive over 3+ hours (twice) to get my MMPI done.

Are there any Prior Military Controllers here? Specifically Army. How does the FAA Academy differ from military training. Just wondering if I’m going to have a “leg up” or if I should be as nervous as I was going into Ft Rucker.

I'm a prior Marine controller. From what my friends tell me, it's completely different. At the same time though, you at least have an idea of the concepts already.

Use your base knowledge but you gotta do everything they tell you to do the way they tell you to do it. Don’t trying to act like you know how to do it. You can fail the academy for not doing things that no one does anywhere in the NAS
