Does anyone have any tips for getting an MMPI scheduled in the Atlanta area? I've reached out to every facility within about 2 hours of me and have been completely ghosted by everyone except one who put me on a waitlist but has no clue when they'll be scheduling appointments.

So far, I have called/emailed every rep listed as "primary" in GA as well as select reps in every bordering state. A couple have responded from outside of GA saying that they were either unable to proctor because they didn't have it on their computer or that I needed to contact someone closer.

They specifically asked if I had a TOL or CIL and where I was located. I should have known it was a trap.

They even went as far as to send a screen capture of google maps showing how close some other facilities were as if I didn't know.

For those who got class dates, how many weeks of online zoom classes will it be before you physically attend in OKC?

I believe it’s 4-5 weeks of online basics, then who knows. They don’t give you an OKC date until much later. We literally only know our “start date”

When I went through it was 3 and a half weeks of basics. Don't see why it wouldve changed but never know

Currently it should be 18 days of basics (not including weekends) and I think they're now doing a week off after basics until they start in person initial classes at okc? Could always change though. Not sure if they're still doing the infinite loop of zoom classes after basics anymore or if those finally stopped

My instructor told us the class he was getting after us only had 5 days of virtual tower initial. So it would be about 3 calendar weeks of basics, 1 week of virtual tower if you get terminal and then OKC

You can find the FAA class list online and see the start and end dates of basics, terminal, and enroute courses. The dates themselves can move around but the length of the courses should remain the same barring holidays and delays (like the current winter storm)

Just as a heads up. You just have to apply for a bid before you turn 31 (like myself). Hopefully that helps ease some stress knowing you have a little more time

I believe so. I was told by my HR rep that they're just waiting for my medical clearance. My security POC is DW but I haven't reached out to confirm my clearance I'm just trusting my HR rep ??‍♂️

Ohhh nice! Just making sure if the backlog is a region thing or just mine taking forever lol. I’m the opposite and my security is taking forever

First, congrats on a date, girl!! And so soon!!
Second, I had the opposite happen. I began this process in September then just a few weeks ago AFS called me. I declined, of course, and continued my clearance for here. I'm cleared but can't get a hold of my HR rep, TH, to talk about my living and school situation. I have been a stress case these last few months!

Short Story Short: I'm still waiting. ?

Short Story Long: I can't get a hold of my HR rep, TH, so I reached out to CS. She was kind enough to give me some insight regarding school (I'm attending online college). The information may be relative to others without a date. "We are not filling the May classes yet, however, you most likely get one for May, in which would virtually onboard and would come to the academy at a later date, but that is not a guarantee because I do not know how many students TH will have to place in class." As I said, I've been unable to reach TH so I can't ask about anything further. (Her phone goes straight to VM).

Advice Needed: I took a new job JUST IN CASE something doesn't happen here (government shut down, hiring freeze.. who knows! The possibilities are endless with the federal government and I'm not going to count my chicks before they hatch). But this new job requires an academy. Would you attend the 4-week academy or would you bail out and go back to your last job (yes, that is an option for me) and just chill while waiting for a date?

So I was in a law enforcement academy until I put in my two weeks notice to start at my first atc facility. Id take what ever job you like best, and if you have to leave one academy for another, do it.

Just curious, how long did it take for everyone's security clearance to check out? Will they contact you if all is good? Contact you if something isn't right? All I have left to do is the MMPI and Medical. Haven't heard anything from security.
