2015 OTS bid. 2 DQ’s. While being DQ’d I didn’t have to redo anything until I became 100% cleared from my medical appeal. I’m not even mad, if this is how it’s supposed to be for me then dope. I’m glad I never gave up on it. Still worked and stuff, covid didn’t really help either but oh well. Can’t let it consume ya.

It’s weird because I had already received the email saying I was to be in the Oct 1st basics course. I think that’s still the case? I’m so confused…
Your attitude inspires me. It's also inspiring me to check in with my rep! It's been 4 months since I've heard from her. I've done what was highly recommended I should avoid--I've put all of my eggs into this basket and now I'm invested. Largely in part to covid, being laid off, told all my requirements were cleared, then asked to go back to my old job literally a day later (declined). I must push forward.
With that being said; any advice would be most helpful. Also my rep is CS.
That means a lot! I never really check in with my rep. Especially after she told me I was fully cleared and awaiting a date. That’s the best part for ME. I did call my HR yesterday out of the blue. I didn’t think she’d pick up but she gave me insight on my projected date and I requested a March date since I have a big family event I can’t miss in Feb. I’m number 260 on those being cleared.

Honestly my best advice is ENJOY the free time you have now. Be selfish with it. Try to hang out with the people in your life, or sleep as much as you like. Once you’re a student, you’re going to be hitting the books and so focused that you might just miss not relaxing prior. Don’t let waiting for a date consume you. It’s coming.

I printed out the FAA list of housing providers, but the majority of what I've read is either Anatole or Kim's Place.

Good idea, I have my baby girl (Dog) with me and need to see where I can bring my pet lol.
I believe Kim’s place allows dogs. I’ll be bringing mine as well
I start 10/1 Enroute. Projected academy date of 11/5.
Could we be in the same class? I mean 1 day doesn't seem like it will make to big of a difference. 10/2 is a Saturday which is weird.

Seems like no one heard any new class date news today. I guess we're back to the waiting game. It's been an exciting few days anyway.
I was cleared 03/18. I was told I will be receiving a Nov date.
