Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-20-ALLSRCE-65607

Who's your rep? Cause mine sent me the email saying my drug test was expired and that FD&AT would contact me to schedule a other, and then 4 minutes later emailed me my FOL to sign and send back lol.
My rep is LM. When I asked her about when to expect the actual FOL she said they generally wait for the updated drug test but they would send it conditional on receiving the test if they didn’t see it within about a week and a half

For those who have done it, how long are the basics days? I spoke with some people who said OKC tends to finish in the early afternoon. Is basics similar? Just trying to figure out picking up my kids from school. I’m in the same zone as OKC.

It depends on where all of the other students are. Our class had folks from New Hampshire to Hawaii so we started around noon eastern. Class is always 8 hours long with a 30 minute unpaid lunch.

Just checked USAjobs.gov and my application said hiring complete. Does this mean they're done hiring and I'm SOL? Stil haven't heard anything from my medical clearance.

If you already have a TOL and are going through the medical process you are being hired (barring failing medical or drug or background or whatever). If the hiring is complete it means they aren't giving out any more TOLs.

My status changed to "hiring complete" as soon as I received the TOL (before I even got a CIL).

'Hiring complete" just means you got the TOL and no more TOLs will be going out.

side note: your signature says your medical was cleared back in april. is there something else you're waiting on?

update: just checked your post history. in April, your HR rep said you were cleared and just waiting on a class date....so what are you still waiting to hear about?

Still waiting on class date I guess. HR told me I'd here something for the new FY and then I saw everybody getting class dates and the hiring complete so I just got worried I missed the boat or something

Make sure you check your emails as well. Some people didn't even get a call, just an email notifying them.

Just received another litany of EODs forms. Looks like some are unavailable for submittal until my start date for virtual onboarding. Am I supposed to submit what I can now and then I assume during onboarding we'll go over the rest of the forms and submit them then? Or should I hold off on everything onboarding day?

You should’ve received an email listing everything you’re to complete now and what to save for onboarding.

Mine said you have 10 days to complete all EXCEPT the following:
  1. SF-2809, Health Benefit Election Form
  2. SF-2817, Life Insurance Election – FEGLI
  3. TSP-1, Thrift Savings Plan Election Form
  4. SF-61, Appointment Affidavit
  5. OF-306, Declaration for Federal Employment – APPOINTEE
  6. SF-181 Ethnicity and Race Identification
  7. SF-256 Self Identification of Disability
  1. SF-1152, Unpaid Compensation
  2. SF-2823, FEGLI
  3. SF-3102, FERS
  4. TSP-3, TSP

Well that would have been helpful...Didn't receive anything like that unfortunately. I only submitted two forms in advance which I've since retracted.

Hello all.

I contacted my HR rep a few days ago, and was notified that I might get a December or January basics class date. My family lives in Hawaii, and I was planning on visiting them between my current job and basics. If I bring a laptop along, I am thinking about possibly extending my time with family into basics.

For those that have been through online basics, do you think it's doable while visiting family in Hawaii and being away from "home?" I think I also saw somewhere that a timezone that different would screw over the rest of the class in the contiguous US.

For the curious, I was placed in pending class date status in mid-late March.

Security clearance granted ? what a relief. I had a few questionable things on there but was completely honest

Edit: I emailed CS yesterday on 9/14 for an update.
She informed me today 9/15 that my clearance was granted.

I then emailed my security POC and she told me the waiver was granted on 8/16.

Your conditional was granted. You complete clearance wont be granted until probably after you get to your facility and you may or may not still have an interview.
